Over the years a lot has changed with the South African eMcee
Some pay homeage to the underground while others choose to go mainstream
If you´re the latter-you probably think you know what hip hop should be
Hate on what the former represent ´coz it´s what you used to be
You sold the soul of hip hop just in order to gain ma**ive appeal
You don´t look within for your raps, you refer to your label´s marketing scheme

Enslaved by the monetary, you sold out for popularity
Up on stage saying ´I love rap!´, but living out in hypocrisy
Just ´coz you know someone who knows someone who knows someone who gave you the spot
Now you walk around ranting your wack sh!t, expecting us to give you props
f*** Ammmuntion and NOT the five elements of hip hop
His sh!t is so weak, to sell it ,he needs to resort to the antics of pop
So you hate underground rappers?
Well, they hate you too,but ain´t actors
Like you degrading the art of rap just to elevate your own stature

Turn of that attention sh!t-I can´t stand that bit beat no more
Artificial Amu bit Xzibit, but still found he couldn´t flow
To be honest I only paid attention ´coz of Selwyn and Pro
And if you can´t stand the truth then get at me I´m ready to roll

And-it´s-okay-that-you-get-all-the-radio-play
Coz what hip hop culture has to say goes beyond radio waves...
Wave, wave away and try to eradicate mistakes
Like sticking Amu within Rage, mixing real eMcees with the fakes

--So hit us with a remix, add in a touch of jazz...
Nah, shit´s still pathetic, I do you like you was done by Snazz--

That´s my word...and just before you beef...take time to read Amu´s interview in this month´s Ymag where he unequivocally states ´f*** the five elements of hip hop...´
His punchline in Attention: I´m after the gold and at the same time, the platinum...
Evidence from Dilated Peoples in Clockwork(Expansion Team): I´m after the gold and after that the platinum...

Go Figure

Big Up to YouthMotif and everyone one else who´s doin this sh!t with meaning...we need to unit and guide those who have gone astray...

Just because Amu is getting mad airplay don´t mean he sold out. His album is well balanced. You sound like you r motivated by jelaousy. You talk about unity and at the same time when a brotha comes up you shoot him down. That mentality that 2 b hiphop you shoul strictly be underground is bull, even De La Soul said that u gotta graduate from the underground and try to bring you music to a wider audience. The music industry is a business of selling records and money has to be made. This is a full time job for some peeps.
If u wanna do this for the love of it, do it for free then.  It´s funny how some cats react when their shit  don´t get attention and start screaming so and so is a sellout. Grow up. As soon as u record something, put it on CD and try to get someone to buy it, the word "commercial" comes in right there. You have a product and u want to sell it. Just because your strategy ain´t working 4 u, don´t hate on somebody coz his shit is doing aaaiiight.
