Sample Clearance

Does anyone know where or who to contact to get samples cleared?

SA does'nt really have any sample clearance firms. So u best bet is to contact the label/publisher of the track in question. I recently got a sample cleared for this group i produced for.

So yeah..just contact the label the track u sampled came out on, Your going to need to get clearance from the Artist as well as the label that owns the master.

I'm currently in same boat.Isnt the practice usually to record the track that was sampled and present it to the party whom ur approaching for clearance?Thinking of how Akon them got the "Mr Lonely" sampled cleared.
