If you really think about it there aren’t that many significant female rappers out there. It seems it might be harder for a new female MC to earn the love her male counterparts get. Face it, Hip-hop is picky about its female side. It’s hard to find that complete package of skills, looks, charisma and of course, sincerity…

Special previews of all the new joints from Tru’s debut 18-track album ‘Nomadsland‘ in high-quality MP3 format. The pre-production phase of the video for Go Against Us is complete. SABC 2’s Pitstop screened a feature on Kallitz last week Wednesday, 18 August 2004, where viewers could win one of five CD’s of Kallitz’ debut album ‘Die Ding Ruk Mal’. The public response was overwhelming, with Pitstop receiving well over 2,000 SMS’s from viewers requesting the CD. ‘Pitstop’ rates this response “unusually high”, indicating a tremendous demand for Kallitz, and have decided to screen the music video ‘Die Ding Ruk Mal’ again tonight due to popular demand. ‘Pistop’ is on SABC 2 tonight at 18:00.

Afrikaans Hip Hop group Kallitz, who have just hit Number One on the South African Top 30 Album charts with their hot debut album ‘Die Ding Ruk Mal‘ will be playing at the Hip Hop Indaba, Dromedaris Hall, Good Hope Centre from 22:00 on Friday, 27 August 2004, and together with Spindle Sect at Mercury Lounge, Cape Town from 21:00 on Wednesday, 1 September 2004. Entry at the door is R 20 at both events.
