It amazes me how little the industry knows about the hip hop culture on the African continent. I came across “A tidal wave of success“, an article on the Biz-community website where it stated, “Tidal Wave Productions has produced the first hip-hop music video ever to be shot on the African continent“. This is unbelievable. Do they even know how many hip hop videos have been shot on this continent?  There are too many to list.  What of POC, Black Noise and the countless SA artists throughout the last decade?  I won’t even talk about the hundreds that have been released by those in Zimbabwe, Tanzania, Senegal and other African countries.
