Shynin Armour – New Track – Word Play

This week we profile Shynin Armour, a member of the Black Army Movement (BAM) crew. Shynin Armour was born in Meadowlands, Soweto (South Africa) and started following the Hip Hop movement during the mid 90’s. Since then he has been involved with and released several projects and worked with a range of artists. We also feature the first single called “Word Play” which features Dark Spark [Prod. Tuxman, Dynami & P2daoH] from his 3rd album titled RUGGED 3//3 dropping 27th April 2011.

He first showed up on the scene around 2003 at Dungeon Shack whilst still moving in a collective with a crew called Cordless. He started touring around on Sundays in Soweto trying to get a platform on similar shows like Splash Jam, Slughuise and Battle Ground which at that time were dominant shows with a platform for artists to test their skills.

In 2005 he and friends/mc’s started a family called Black Army Movement (BAM) with Dynamic, Likwidy and OBK who have worked hard to get their performances recognized.

In 2007 he dropped his 1^stsegment Rong 1//3 off the Trilogy Rong Ruff & Rugged, a conceptual album that is designed to play out over a space of 4 years so that Hip Hop heads and listeners could grow to love the music. The album was produced by Dynamic and Likwidy and Xzodia on the Epic Artworks.

In late 2009 he began the construction of the Sequel to Rong 1//3 that took him a year and a half to compile.

The Ruff 2//3 sequel was then released during the 1^st half of the year 2010 on the 27^th April at the biggest annual Hip Hop show in South Africa called Back2daCity. The album featured the likes of Black Army Movement (on most of the production and tracks), P2daoh and Appoliyon (feature on the Hidden Tracks they produced) and Xzodia on the outro skit and the Artwork once again.

The final segment of the Trilogy is underway titled Rugged 3//3. This is due for release on the 27th April 2011.
