Massive Turn aka Massive Ten

15 April 2011 No Comment

Coming from the M.F.U. (Mfuleni) townships in Cape Town near Khayelitsha, Massive Turn also known as Massive Ten is a hip hop crew making moves in the SA hip hop scene.

The crew has been around for more than 4 years.  They first started out with ten members in 2007 and started the year with a music video for the hit track “Massive Ten” then later on the crew was broken down to eight and more recently down to four.

Apart from the ups and downs the crew has been performing all around the Western Cape killing mics solidifying their name in the Cape scene.

In 2010 they released the album The Official Turn which can be bought directly from the group members (backpack style).  The guys really believe that you don’t have to get signed to be successful in the music business.   So far they managed to do everything themselves and learning the business side of it in the process.

Their latest album has 17 tracks with productions from the likes of Ruthlelss, Mashonisa, Dark Rob and Aylo.  The album was recorded at Purple Beats Records Studios in Khayelithsa Cape Town.  The remaining four members have been hitting the studio working on the second album.  Production for the next album can be expected from the likes of J-one, Nymeless, Aylo and a few more surprises.
