Pretty nice cover.Much better looking than the first one.Looking forward to this one.Apparently the Verb album should be out in Jozi this weekend. So the 2 Pro's going head to head it seems in terms of releases.I know the Verb one's gonna be tight.I dont know much bout this one but I'm sure it's gonna be a good one.

14 tracks only!? Come on, there could b some bonus/hidden tracks-maybe.

'Abagcwali' - is tsotsi taal, it has multiple meanings, so it depends on d context.

I'll probably cop this one if my bank balance stays positive.

@ D Planet- is 27th November or Dec?

ok guys let me clear dis from the essence side....styles won our demothon and he's choice was pro to feature on his remix...sorted...pro has been busy recording his album and promised me dat we will do the remix after his project is finished.pro is done so we will get time.styles track will be remixed still and we will let him on 1(sabc1) and shiniz and harambeafrica.com like we promised so chill&watch dis space...i hope that clears the confusion...

Yeah, PRO has followed Jigga n 50(who have endorsement deals with Reebok) on d sneaker range thing. Loxion Kulcha will b making d sneakers, so it probably wont disappoint.
But thumbs up to The Kid n Loxion Kulca 4 opting 2 go Hip Hop. PRO is gonna fit in well with d brand image of being ghetto, which is their target market.

D name of d sneaker is nice tho, ProInk.

Yeah i also didn't feel d Come in 2 my life joint, i think it was d beat dat really let me down tho.

Listened again - the dome trck 6 is the only one i can really listen to.

Listened to Selwyn as well yesterday i decided against being a hater and i will say - diffrent strokes just not for me. Dont know the track list off by heart but there some good ideas i reserve comment on execution.

My concern is that music is sounding rushed and *forgive me Spex* local hip hop is becoming bubble gum music - what an oxymoron.

I dont know but something's amiss. Artistry maybe? i dont know I need to figure this out.

Aaah damn     about the Skit - still funny though.

On the radio interview last night we were talking about this issue...

Mainstream music is, by it's very nature, always going to have an element of 'lowest common denominator',,, in other words, it targets the the lowest, most basic possible hopes and dreams of their intended audience. This is intrinsic to the nature of ma** media. You aren't going to hear 'Swart Gevaar' by KONFAB on commercial radio because it will upset some of the advertisers who pay radio stations' bills. It doesn't matter that it's good music, or carries an important message.

Local CD's that stand out for me.

the LAndmynz mixtape Vol 1.
optical ill - the offering
Skwatta - khut & join
moodphase 5 - album with "ghetto @ sunset" 'rhymedrop'
Tumi & Vol - Live at the ba**line
Zubz - Listener's Digest
Tumi & The Vol - their 2nd offering

right now I'm loving headphone music in a parrallel world - Zubz

Still not copped from my good eye

Like i said earlier diffrent strokes

I look for a whole project -  there has to be a good concept and follow through, dope production, freshness - i dont know i guess I look like how you know you eating a good steak - you dont always know what goes into it but if its good its good.

we need artists like tumi, who are constantly raising the bar for lazy artists. if artists are taking all the crit they are getting from threads like these seriously, then we actually may be heading towards a great year for local hip hop. Hard work always pays off!

Lets not be hard on the boy Pro,

Well thats nothing,Banks lost his first version of Rotten Apple to a girl's place  No wonder it flopped.

"""It was just a blank CD with just tracks. I got over 70, 80 tracks, so you can't get them all on one CD. So I might have had 14 tracks of the last two weeks or something like that."

"Next thing I know, can't find the CD," Banks continued. "I'm a**uming it had to be from one of those situations when you got too much going on around you. Maybe I'mma just stick to one girl from now on. That's the only explanation that makes sense. Sticky fingers."
