I´ve also read it and this concept has nothing to do with the difference between a battle mc and a storyteller. A mans´ personality and such is sculpted by the environment he grows up in.

Hey Mao, gotta agree with TNG here. As a fellow philosophy student (albeit only second year) one thing I have realised is that philosophy is about eliminating the bullsh*t.
