Just out of curiosity: How did this shaving tradition start (especially in the african community)? When growing up, girls couldn't wait to start growing some down there, this days its all about mowing the lawn!

A bit of both and it's for both parties. It's a a bit more comforting for the girl to know that when he's down there it's clean. When it comes to the vj there's so much comfort in cleanliness and hair just doesn't add to the comfort.

now balds. taking away the obvious now very aesthetic appeal of the said shaving (it be the times, it be the times), not trimming, shaving off - would you not then consider that dudes need to shave too then? or is their hair considered minimal already? or is that sexy? considering that dudes feel this way for pleasure purposes, why does male pubic hair not bother women then, for our pleasure purposes, maybe not for functionality but in terms of the comfort then aswell? do you know why i ask. because this seems to be the standard now. just with readin on AG its become such an issue now. and no one ever explains to young girls exactly why they are and need to be shaving. no one ever says anything. and yet everyone is doing it. this is a norm now. and it certainly looks good no doubt. but there was a time when it wasnt really, the norm. and the objections werent as strong - or is it just a case of hallelujah finally they get it.
its just that in the spaces of difference, other people who might not necessarily feel as strongly as others get called names.
coz then maybe as it turns out it may be that there are some guys who actually like womens hair...

I think the time you're referring to was when girl who accepted cunilingus from a guy were deemed lose. So it didn't matter that it was shaved/trimmed off or not because guys weren't there to satisfy any one else but themselves.
Admittedly we've evolved (some more than others) and we're experimenting, and part of that process is sticking things in places we could've never imagined and using parts of our bodies we could never imagine, so I guess it comes with this evolution.
As for guys shaving, I think we haven't reached that part of evolution just yet, some yes but most NO. And lets be honest, males don't have hair on their penises, around yes so it's easily avoidable.

Police probe Soweto child pron reports
Police are investigating reports of a pronographic website with nude pictures of girls from Soweto as young as nine, according to Beeld newspaper on Thursday.
The head of the Film and Publication Board's child protection unit, Goodness Zulu, said the photos had captions with the girls' names and surnames and places of birth.
They were all between the ages of nine and 13.
"About two weeks ago we received a tip-off from a member of the public on our anti-pronography website. We reported the matter to the police and when we checked on Monday, the website had already been shut down," said Zulu.
It was believed that the site was hosted by South Africans on a server abroad.

come give the dude a break he obviously doesnt encourage child pron and he must have not gotten to see the child pron pics yet. remember that he is not the person who posts such pics and through out the time i have pa**ionately supported sondeza, pics or vids which were regarded as inappropriate(i.e the vid that looked like someone was taken advantage of sexually), are always removed. the dude must have not noticed those young girls pics yet. anyone who was a regurlar would know there has always been an effort to make the site content as decent as possible. :)

I doubt that it's Sondeza. The reports on this site said that it was hosted by South africans abroad and that all the girls were minors.
Last time I checked sondeza there were'nt any chicks that looked underage, unless these were some biga**ed, tall nine year olds.
