Depends on who produced it and the quality of production.

If I was buying a beat... I would prolly go for no higher R1500.00 with no royalties charged. But with royalties i wouldn know.

I agree, your question isn't clear my man. It depends on what genre beat you making, club track, sampled, choped and skewd, electrica, real sounds. Then you gotta consider how long it took to make the beat, what programmes were used, then the quality and authenticity of the beat................Thats my limited understanding of what goes into it, which I will admit stands to be corrected...theres a lot that goes into it.
Like as an emcee/ ghost writer, when Im featuring on a dudes track theres a lot that has to be considered, like does the buyer want fresh lyrics or shit from my archives, what type of delivery is expected, or can I go organised flow or pure stylefree.............its crazy...

U must actually ask em to flow to de beat before u sell it to em and if u feel that they gonna waste yo beat, charge em extra for damages...

i wouldnt recommend that one at all, i belive in music production just like the real estate business there are three pinnacle principles....REputation (location), Reputation, (location) REputation (location)...once u make ur mind up to put sumin out it already has your brand on it, if u have beats u wouldnt have even ur moms listen to and u toss em out on the streets to get stomped on by whack niccas that right there is gone make u whack by default...

jus ma thots ::)

it would depend what the beat would be used for...if it will be used for exposure then that is up to the produce to make that decision...I know a lot of beatmakers who over charge but I do not blame them...the product that they get in return is booty haha

I normally sell at R200 a piece, if you want the track mixed and professionaly mastered addin another R200, i don't do the mastering myself but I know a kat who masters and I use my name for credit, if you get me.
Most kats complain that im cheap and i know some producers do buy some of my isht and claim they did the beat but i simply don't care
ya dig

GOOD.
