I can't even express how happy I am that the years of Bush are OVER!!

In the words of Shaheen: "Excellent! Finally a Black President to Represent!!"

Indeed,Obama is where its at!!!! That speech this morning was amazing
just a few years ago no one would have thought the U.S would ever have a black president...yay for change! Hope it happens, my only concern is that when so many people count on one person to make change, its so easy for that person to dissapoint...America must remember that the man is human.

Yes gotdammmit. he did the damn thing. a burden it is... this is history... now lets hope he doesnt get a**asinated.

What a momentous occasion. WOW !!!

Finally America elects a capable president. As much as him being a "BLACK MAN" is a great symbol for the entire world,i think the world in return should not dwell on that too much, but rather acknowledge that he was the best candidate for the job.A man who gives people HOPE.The world hasn't had since Mandela's release.Feels like 94 all over again.New beginnings.

The speech was brilliant.Between that and his speech on RACE RELATIONS,i don't know which one takes the cake.

Big Ups to McCain as well.Took the defeat well.Loved the way he quietened down his supporters when he was congratulating Barack when they started booing him.

Was listening to 702 and they made mention of how wonderful it is that there's no talk of "Power-Sharing" deals, and oh, let me be the Prime Minister here and there for another year, blah blah.People VOTE.One Winner. One Loser.Keep it Moving. AFRICA TRULY NEEDS TO LEARN.TRUE DEMOCRACY SHINES again.

I guess Tupac was wrong.

What a moment. ;D

Interesting NY Times article though (will try find it and up the link). Devil's advocate argument: let's say that a black president means the civil rights movement is at an end. It logically means that impoverished blacks in the States cannot use institutionalised racism as an excuse for poor performance in schools, careers and families.

If - and again, I'm just explaining the article here, this isn't what I believe - their situation as a whole fails to improve, the only people they have to blame are themselves. The danger then, is the slightly alarming leap to the conclusion that something is intrinsically wrong with American blacks.

What do you guys think? I'm not convinced.

I hope he does the right thing, because there has been some scary shit going on in the States,

the Military has been training units in Iraq for active duty in the States,

FEMA has been building Concentration Camps on some Nazi Germany tip across the country,

IBM has been creating these RFID microchips to be injected in people, on some THX 1138,

there have been some pretty scary NWO shit going on over here,

I hope he puts an end to the FEMA crap, and throws the Military's declaration of Martial Law out the window,

did you guys know Barack is Bush's 7th COusin on some crazy bloodline tip?

Co-sign!!!

I'm listening to his acceptance speech right now. This is a great moment in history. Indeed not just for Americans, but the world as a whole. The incredible trust and faith that the Americans had in electing their first black president, and a capable candidate at that was just inspiring. A vote makes a difference. "This victory is not the change, but the chance to make the change".

Big Up to man who overcame many critics just because he didn't have as much political experience as his running mates. I'm so inspired. Got goosebumps all over!

YES WE CAN make a difference! YES WE CAN overcome whatever obsticles are thrown our way. With dediaction and the will to achieve, the audacity of hope will pull u through.

Damn,,, everyone's getting so worked up you'd think Obama had already brought about world peace and ended hunger throughout the world.

People's emotions are too easily manipulated.

Obama was definitely the best candidate and he won (which is good). the fact that he's black, whilst being historic, means nothing if he can't deliver.

People got like this in the UK when Thatcher was elected - all the women were euphoric cause it was the first female Prime Minister. She then presided over the worst recession in living memory. There was ma**ive unemployment and she took the UK to war with Argentina over the Falklands. She also broke down the trade unions and undermined the NHS.

Same in SA in 94 - Euphoria when the ANC got into power - now cats be hating on Mbeki and his 'elite' because he couldn't deliver fast enough. This roller coaster ride of expectation and disappointment is just silly.

Don't get me wrong, I'm very glad Obama won, but a bit of perspective wouldn't hurt. The hysteria is only going to make his tough job even harder.

There was another lady, also McCain supporter, she said
 "I don't trust Obama...he's ...an ARAB!"
McCain was like..."No mam, he's not, he's a good family man, we just happen to have different diplomatic views "(something along those line)

But that actually fired back on McCain coz after that CNN had this big discussion scrutinising whether McCain's response was demeaning to Arabs.
Yeh, ne? sometime the media does take things too far..

I don't know which Britain you were living in but I remember nothing of the sort.  Women euphoric coz of Thatcher = bullshit. People were still too unemployed to be euphoric; remnants of the Harold Wilson (Labour Party) Winter of Discontent. General strikes, unemployment and UB41's were the order of the day. Only reason Thatcher won was because she wasn't a Labour Party candidate i.e. people were fed up of Wilson and his limp-wristed approach to the country's problems. Co-sign on the destruction of the National Health Service though, Thatcher axed the free-morning-milk programme in British Scholols when I was a middle-infant. f*** Conservatives and reactionaries everywhere, f***ing scum of the earth they are.

Another example of bullshit. Barry O. actually gon' tax the hell out of the Top 2% of U.S. earners and use that revenue to bolster the Healthcare system by giving free healthcare access to all children.
Barry's policies will only be similar to those of the previous' Adminstration on matters of Foreign Policy i.e. The Middle East (read Egypt and Israel) and Africa.

@ D

No one is disputing the tasks that are facing this man.And no one is saying he's gonna drastically improve the lives of everyone around the world. Granted he's got a lot on this plate, but he's stepping up to the challenge isn't he ?Whether he succeeds or fails as a president,at the end of the day he's given people around the world some sort of hope. Some sort of promise that as human being we can unite and be a family again.Isn't this what the world really needs now ? To feel as ONE again ? In these times of crazy turmoil ?

@D-Pleezy, yeah.

for real? where abouts?

North London, was born in Islington Maternity and grew up in Northwold Estate, Upper Clapton, Hackney (ironically just down the road from The Admiral, I think he grew up in Bethnal Green or Mile's End) attended Jubille Primary School and Stoke Newington Secondary.

Obama to do list:

1. Sort out 2 US-lead wars
2. Sort out $700 billion bailout fund
3. Sort out $10 trillion debt
4. Choose new curtains for Oval Office

who'd want to be a president! :)
You think he didnt know alla dat? You think he'd walk into a thing blindly?

Obama faces a staggering list of problems, and he mentioned some of them in his victory speech. "Even as we celebrate tonight, we know the challenges that tomorrow will bring are the greatest of our lifetime — two wars, a planet in peril, the worst financial crisis in a century." He spoke of parents who worry about paying

This man is prepared for the road ahead.
"The road ahead will be long. Our climb will be steep," Obama cautioned.

Listen homes, they're (Liberal) Democrats NOT Socialists, and in the States, more than anywhere else, that means dead Centre rather than centre-left. Good example, in our own country, we're led by the ANC (hotch-potch of communists, socialists and liberals) and still have a free-market economy don't we?? You never heard Barry O. promising a radical change to Socialism did you? Just coz they oppose the Republicans (Conservatives) doesn't mean they're Socialist or even moderately left-wing. And by the way wasn't it ya man Bush (helped by the incompetent Henry Paulson) who introduced the left-leaning policy of govt. interventianism with the $700 Billion bail-out of Wall Street??????????? They were hacked last week, but only the front page. It would be cool if someone could shut them down though.

where are our hackers people?

These retards actually believe that they are the true descendants of Israel and that the Jews are an abomination to God. According to the 1933 version of the Afrikaans bible (they consider this the only true bible, since everything before or after that has been tainted by the Jews) their God promises them that they will rule sub-Saharan Africa and they will destroy all the black people living from here to the equator.

A few thousand white folk against a couple of hundred million black folk. I wish my God could make me as strong as theirs.

A f***ing nigger at 1600 Penn. Ave. We need that like we need a hole in the f***ing head. These lazy f***ing nigger cocksuckers are already on welfare and now their gonna get free healthcare too? My people are the ones who got it bad, when are we gonna get an gumba in the White House, that's the real question?

what do the illuminati conspiracy theorists make of this?

why he's obviously a shapeshifting reptillian humanoid, u've all been duped...

did you guys know Barack is Bush's 7th COusin on some crazy bloodline tip?

see...wat i tellya, NWO is only a few months away now, Obama is a pop icon for a reason...we will control everything, a black president just means u cant call us rascists now. MWUHAHAHAHA!
-yeah, they'd probably say sumn along those lines...actually i'mo start my own book with these few facts i've gathered here.
I hear David Ike makes a killing!

Interesting NY Times article though (will try find it and up the link). Devil's advocate argument: let's say that a black president means the civil rights movement is at an end. It logically means that impoverished blacks in the States cannot use institutionalised racism as an excuse for poor performance in schools, careers and families.

"and we may have a black president, but he's useless/ cuz he doesnt control the economy stupid!"
-Immortal technique

i've been cautious not 2 join the barrack circle jerk, he seems like a capable leader for his people no doubt. tho I havent been up 2 speed wida policies being proposed by both sides, i already hear he's a smart democrat- n now the most powerful man in global politics, but wat does this mean fo us?  apart from being an AFRICAN AMERICAN democrat, does this necessarily mean mo mealie-meal fo my family down here in third world Africa? Time will tell i guess, cuz i think its safe 2 say we need 'revolution' down here- i just pray that he can help revive a bit of hope on the continent, since most of his predecessors haven't been able 2 do so- or just didnt give 2 shits about us.

can someone please convince me that the economy and the republican opponents obama faced were coincidence?to quote one papoose 'obama can change the white complexion/but can he change it's direction/i doubt it?'

funny how everyone's attention diverted from the real issues.barack's win says less about race issues than economic/cla** issues.if the U.S economy wasn't unstable, would he have won?i feel bush and his masters set the alley-oop.it might be only me but i see a pattern of events that fit too neatly together not to make obama's win a behind-the-scenes engineered plot to hoodwink the world from america's growth toward a socialist-fascist empire, and mend foreign relations in the process.some archaic documents indicate we are about to enter the era of the last fuhrer, which according to the Bible is 'preceded by peace'. it is nearer than ever.yeah great, the nigger (in its original sense) is now head of the plantation, but don't forget he doesn't own it and the question is,'does he have the nerve to take the reigns, get the whip and lash the master?' it's a shame when politics become so populist that contenders are elected on the american-idols model (ie,most appealing,charismatic,sex-symbol type candidate wins).what ever happened to judging a candidate by the fibre of his ideas/policies/plans?candidates endorsed by celebrities as if snoop dogg's two cents is really worth, umh, two cents.only time will tell if obama becomes a good president.the world's afraid of american dominance yet it inconspicuously pervades through the american invisible arm - the U.N.now chavez and 'em are talking about mending foreign relations!IDIOTS! i have nothing against obama, mccain etc.i have bone of contention with the global political system design on flawed humanist theories.the same sytem that endorsed the stalins, partition of africa, hitler, etc.people talk of hope as if this marxist matrix we call the world hinges on hope and not the two greatest vices:love of power and love of money.screw hope.hope's not going to change multi-national policies or repeal the rape of africa by the east and west.hope's not going to stop gun and missile manufacturers.the system's built on chaos.obama's not in the oval office as a black man but as a politician who stands for a party founded by slavers.get what i'm saying, nothing's changed.as he put it,'lipstick's on the pig but it's still a pig'.he's still the light-skinned-nigger master likes.stay focused people.these are the words of m.u.

Mandela urges Obama to go to jail for 27 years to boost image

PRETORIA. International icon Nelson Mandela has hailed Barack Obama's historic victory but has cautioned that if Obama wants to be remembered as a giant of history he will also need to be jailed for 27 years by athletic white supremacists. Obama has reportedly heeded the call and is trying to negotiate a part-time 27-year sentence with prison authorities in Australia.

Speaking to the press via telephone from inside his cryogenics tank, Mandela said that Obama would have to make sacrifices if his legacy was to endure.

"Many people ask me why I gave up 27 years of my life in order to revive the musical career of Bob Geldof," said Mandela.

"The answer is simple. I would do it again in a heartbeat. A talent like Geldof and the Boomtown Rats is something that must be treasured. It is greater than one human life."

He added that the same would apply to Bono of the Irishman's popularity ever waned.

"If people stopped buying his albums, perhaps because they realised that all his songs are just one note, sort of yodeled, I would report to the nearest police station at once," said Mandela.

However he added that this was unlikely as Bono had "got himself a very good gig riding the war, poverty and famine wave, which is lovely job security".

Mandela said that Obama had the potential to be remembered as one of the greatest statesmen the world has ever known, and if he was lucky he might also one day be allowed to make short statements about global issues at a Bob Geldof or Bono concert.

But, he said, before that could happen Obama would need to be jailed for 27 years by rugby-loving sunshine-worshiping white supremacists.

The American president elect has reportedly taken the warning to heart, with an aide confirming this morning that Obama is trying to negotiate a part-time 27-year-sentence with prison authorities in Perth, Australia.

"First prize was obviously Robben Island," said the aide.

"But we did the research and it turns out most of the whites that supported apartheid and wanted Madiba locked away now live in Perth, so it looks like it will work out after all."

Meanwhile Australian authorities have denied being white supremacists, adding that many of their best friends know a black person.

I awlays wonder with people like you expecting black panther types to ever get elected, not gonna happen in possibly ever...as if the rest of the country is supposed to give mandate to candidate looking out for one segment of the population...*smirk*
