Im trying to go out of my way to give this man a chance. I have seen a couple of his movies and have been disappointed, except for Bamboozled and the one that came out a few years ago, the one about the bank robbery, i thought i was good, not great but just good.
Can somebody give me a list of movies done by Spike Lee that you think are great?

I've never finished this and have been trying to get myself to finally watch all of it. holding back on how I feel about it for now.
Jungle Fever
Saw this last night. fell asleep towards the end. I dont consider it a good movie, great idea for a story but eish nah man. its okayish. love the crack head character played by Samuel L Jackson though.

25th Hour, Do the Right Thing, Summer of Sam and She's Gotta Have It are some of my favourites. but in my opinion, Spike Lee's never made a dud of a movie (yes, even She Hate Me). it depends what you find appealing in a film. whether you only look at its content, acting, plot or are also interested in the formal elements.

Do The Right Thing is one of my favorite movies, and co-sign the ones everyone else listed, I liked his HBO movie about San Fransisco, as well, called Sucka Free City.

wait a minute, i've seen this movie. had no idea Spike Lee did it. I thought it was a cool movie but still not enought for me to want to watch it again. it also had that shit that dont make sense like what the f*** was that for or was that necessary or shit here goes the director spoiling what could have been a dope movie. exactly how I always feel about Spike Lee movies and I didnt even know he did this one.

U should do some research i think before saying this...just for argument sake- but spike lee joints are ill - inside man was like a remake of dog day afternoon

I think the Spike Lee's war movie he made last year was a dud. He only made that flick to prove a point and make a black version of Clint Eastwood's "Flags of our Fathers"
