...kind of says it all, doesn't it.

One of the most important artists to ever practice rapping. If I had to pick a favourite - not necessarily the best, but a favourite - it'd be The Predator and Today Was A Good Day. The LA Riots had such a presence on that album.

# 1 on my list. No one is seeing Cube. Probably the only artist to release 5 consecutive cla**ics.

1) Straight Outta Compton - NWA
2) Kill @ Will - EP
3) Amerikkas's Most Wanted
4) Death Cerifiticate
5) Predator

Lethal Injection is also a good 4/5. Everything after that was doo-doo, but still had a few gems in between.
Dude was never afraid to voice his opinions and made some of the most controversial songs ever recorded in the process. He was saying what a lot of black people were feeling @ the time but didn't have the guts to say it out loud. He was a new-age Malcolm X.

Rebel, Gangsta, GOAT.

Cube is a Pioneer on all levels. With music he went where others(so called gangsta/thug rappers) feared to tread.

He didn't go soft. His evolution into a serious businessman with various interests was a natural progression and shows maturity. He can't be on the same shit now as 15 - 20 years ago.

The hustle has to grow and expand to keep from going under, especially in these fickle times.

From AmeriKKKa's Most Wanted to Death Certificate (roughly 1990 - 1992), Ice Cube was unf***witable, IMO. Seriously, he was my favourite MC in those years. He had some cool tunes on The Predator and Lethal Injection, but he never scaled the heights that he did on those first two albums + the Kill At Will EP.

By the way, Death Certificate is one of Hip Hop's best concept albums. And AMW was ahead of its time as an East Coast/West Coast collaboration.

Supa!

Yeah, that's because Cube thought that "I uesd to love H.E.R." was a diss to the
West Coast. I remember that Cube also had beef with Cypress Hill over that
"Friday" song. He ripped it from the Cypress's "Put your sets in the air".
