oh, and its funy how blacks are quick to use a theory or philosophy & not question why or by whom it was made. women are too busy embracing the ''freedom to rights'' and liberal ejaculations of rainbow nation wet dreams to wonder why & by whom a tight jean and miniskirt was made, and for what reasons, that when they get sexualy asualted they dont know how to act up, coz western trends dont come with an instruction manual. now do they? all women can do is say taxi drivers are savages(of which, to some extent, they probably are), & feel oppressed. not to say miniskirts and whatnot are bad, but in the end its reason and knowledge of self that can help women and men avoid such non-sense. when the flesh is stripd from the bone, all we have is people complaining over rights they dont fully understand. no matter how ''free'' rights get us, or how opresed racism makes us, its the african mindset that we hav to live up to, by virtue of our skin colour. consider it before wearing a miniskirt or sexualy asaultin sumone.

look. with reference to people talking about, ''bak in the day women ran around with only their privates covered'' and shit. correct me if im wrong, but wasnt that an occasional thing? u know. weddings, sacred rituals and such? only children who had'nt reached the stage of puberty would probably b allowed to go around stark naked, but as for the older females, they revealed more flesh only on special occa**ions, and the eldest were ALWAYS covered. Ntsiki had no right, as a true African WOMAN to pose naked for shit. ancient traditions that r misunderstood by the same people who represent them should'nt be used as justification for imoral actions. now whether there was some logic as to why them taxi drivers are going loney is anutha question. not to be dismised mind you. pro miniskirt rally's are, on the other hand, a perfected dipiction of stupidity by a gender that represents the cornerstone of sustaining a people as a race of beautiful intelectual human beings. please dont put foreign rights before your own

Ok. Maybe Souljahboy is just a kid, and aint a lyricist, but anyone who listens to music can deduct that theres no point to his music creativity wise. It might make a molecule of sense, watching it on TV and u either; want a good laugh or, like Cash, want sumthin to dance to, but when it comes to fullfilling its purpose in sounding creative in its own rite as an artform, like all music is supposed to, its a flop! Many people like souljah boy make music with a video concept as the basis of approach to making a track, as opposed to approaching it as an art. Try imagining, listening to ''crank that souljah'' withought ever having known the video existed. nonsense! He just downright wack! Oh, and i aint a hypocrite, i got love for music as long as it sounds good, and the problem i have is with giving a platform in hip-hop...make that any music, to uncreative people and praising them for shitting on it. Hurricane Chris is part of the ''new school'' calibre but i dig him coz he tight. his fellow cla**mate SB...wack

Just to prove that all 16 year olds don't have to be no-brain, non-lyrical, bubble gum...

Check out new Grime star in the making, Chipmunk...

"Big bar writer, calm not hyper,
Grew up on Dragon Ball Z and Street Fighter,
BMX Rider, Gyal dem creeper,
Full time mic man, part time grinder,
If you don't like me I don't like you neither."

I don't care if Soulja boys sells 4 million ringtones, he's still wack as hell.
That sounds like true lyricism compared to the kwaito styled rhymes souljahboy kicks. Its all good as long as he spits sumthing meaningful. Contrast those lines Dplanet quoted with the whole ''crank that souljah'' song, and it shows that simple and entertaining does'nt always mean wack.

Hip Hop Events / Polokwane Map Invasion
« on: January 19, 2008, 11:51:40 AM »
There is a new wave of mad personalities coming out of the rural dungeons of Polokwane-Limpopo. If you thought you were dreaming, you are not. This is true! Polokwane is rising from its dormant state.

There is a cultural and social movement that goes by the allias of BWARF(Black Writers and Artists Forum) that intends to colonise minds and to monopolise old perceptions, into a critical mindset. Just like Grahamstown Polokwane is so small and we've gotten sick of being surrounded by zombies. Quote: Abnormal Details-"the people here just go to work like zombies, drink on weekends, and they dont think about the future". That is changing, slowly but surely. The revolution is back on the streets and is embodied in Poetry sessions, Hip-Hop Cyphers, monthly events/shows, and many other mediums yet to be discovered. BWARF is the ULTIMATE in backslapping a sleeping town like PLK into BLK(Black), and mental resurection/solution/indeginous composition. Everyone and anyone who wishes to contribute to any, of the above in the form of working relationships on events that are yet to take place, should feel free to contact BWARF on: bwarf@webmail.co.za/zodiac3_mercury@yahoo.com. Watch this space for more posts on BWARF's progression into the "new world order".

Hot Traxxx / Souljah boy status
« on: January 18, 2008, 11:18:54 PM »
Hello people. Im new to AG, and have been reading ur posts 4 a while now. Anyway, i just thought i shud drop sum input for once. Here goes...i dont think it is justice to call the hip-pop that souljah boy and his fellow bubble gum infantry, guns many aspiring headz with, hip-hop. I think i speak for us all when i say that we are all for change, as long as it is progressive to the nature of what it affects. It being Hip-Hop in this case. There are your pa**ionate perfectionists & there are your headz that let their mediocrity linger in the shadows of things like redefining change to justify weak lyricism. In order for hip-hop to sustain itself. We need to stress that it remains true to its nature and not compromise it for our convenience. Now, souljah boy & his army are doing well for themselves, whatever it is that they do besides screaming yooooouuuuuu... but to support such psychologicaly hedonistic artificial insemination as hip-hop is blasphemous to hip-Hop & u who claims to be a head, whoever you are!
