Street Epidemic volume 1 is a compilation produced by The Crippled Samaritan. It features a host of lesser known emcees based in Cape Town. The music is best defined as underground jazzy sounds. The artists will be showcasing the compilation through performances on Tuesday the 21st of October in Mojo cafe in Lower main Observatory. Please come through and support, you will certainly experience a breath of fresh air.

General Discussion / Illuminati
« on: May 02, 2007, 10:27:21 AM »
I watched a documentary on the illuminati this past weekend. It's sum scarry shit. Apparently most of the influential political leaders are affiliated to these sorts of organisations. They have sum gruesome rituals, orgies and blood spilling. Open your third eyes people these organisations are the devil personified, babylon lives on.

Media / Do people still buy music
« on: March 09, 2007, 09:37:00 AM »
I was reading a thread by the monopoly guys about the number of copies they would like to sell. The question I would like to pose to all hip hop acts is who they're target market is. I am an inclined to think they fall in the age group between (18-25), as I believe that is the hip hop generation in S.A. A heavy portion of this age group are in varsity or any other tertiary institution. I know from being in a tertiary institution that guys don't buy music, they mostly share files. Now tell me how do you guys plan to sell your music?

Geek Section / Lyricism

Society sickens as morality weakens and sin thickens
Broken by red days in black commuinities and black gays afforded opportunities
Promiscuity ravages innocence leaving protruding bellies in tunics as evidence
death in consuming alcohol for so long spiralling to teens with means they do not see
Picture a mother spat at her face by her daughter despite all her effort
Tomorrow is a sad thought as we've left God
Stoked by black youth robbed of education
Education continues to be a commodity for your rich
So they idle like still waters drowning in drugging waters
Like soldiers marching on the same spot dreams have long stop

Chief Rocka - Open Mic / Battle of Gugulethu
« on: October 10, 2006, 01:06:18 PM »
I've just heard this mixtape and I'm not impressed at all. Illiterate skills im  not feeling them at all, their music is abstract, thin and far fetched. I've been to few Driemanskaap performances and they captivate the audience. However in this mixtape they didn't come out well. The beats were abstract for me. I also felt that the lyrical content is thin, its almost as if they are targeting 12 year olds " Ndiyokuxuthela i mic ndikunike i stoki" . " Siyaxhelwa mhee" CONSTRUCTIVE CRITICISM

Chief Rocka - Open Mic / Things about Christianity that befuddle me
« on: September 21, 2006, 10:23:59 AM »
Throughout the Christian narrative the only record of encounters man has had with God is that of the Israelities
African spirituality is as old as the mountains but is considered demonic in the Christian sense
How fickle God is depicted as but yet he is said to have hindsight, he's plan was not to destroy us but he ends up destroying us anyway
How we are suppose to take the initiative to get closer to God, if we don't he will neglect us yet he is our creator
