General Discussion / Re: Obama Inauguration
« on: January 20, 2009, 08:39:04 PM »
selected extracts from his inauguration speech:
...NOW THERE ARE SOME WHO QUESTION THE SCALE OF OUR AMBITIONS, WHO SUGGEST THAT OUR SYSTEM CANNOT TOLERATE TOO MANY BIG PLANS.
THEIR MEMORIES ARE SHORT. FOR THEY HAVE FORGOTTEN WHAT THIS COUNTRY HAS ALREADY DONE, WHAT FREE MEN AND WOMEN CAN ACHIEVE WHEN IMAGINATION IS JOINED TO COMMON PURPOSE, AND NECCESSITY TO COURAGE...

on rivalry with the Muslims:

...TO THE MUSLIM WORLD, WE SEEK A NEW WAY FORWARD, BASED ON MUTUAL INTEREST AND MUTUAL RESPECT. TO THOSE LEADERS AROUND THE WORLD WHO SEEK TO SOW CONFLICT, OR BLAME THEIR SOCIETY'S ILLS ON THE WEST, KNOW THAT YOUR PEOPLE WILL JUDGE YOU ON WHAT YOU CAN BUILD, NOT WHAT YOU CAN DESTROY...

How he deals with the Islam leaders in the first few encounters with them will be very intersting, however, it appears as though the former law lecturer at the Chicago Universtity will employ the same level of lenience as his predecessors, his tone does not suggest that that he will nag for long.

a bit too early to judge him though.

PRISONERS-A MUSLIM AND A JEW ACROSS THE MID EAST DEVIDE.

JEFFERY GOLDBERG, The dude was a NY Times correspondent in the region for years, his insight on HAMAS and  its resistance against the jew's occupation of Jerusalem,Palestine reluctance to pro american solution of the conflict places the book beyond the "must have" category.

HIS account of the Isareli government's paranoia after the movement (HAMAS) took office in the muslim country(Palestine) is enough to convert any skim reader to a worm.

Though not directly so,and I could have misintepreted his tone on this but Goldberg uncovers an abstract detail of how the jews use Christians to push their agenda agaisnt the global muslim community.

Apparently most of these cats are in their mid twenties with vast experience in marine combat, these insurgents comprise of seasoned fishermen, former military officials and an unparralleled technical equipment back up from what the american newsrooms call Al-qaeda related terror groups...

the UN security council intervension has not had any luck there, the indian navy has also been trying but to no vail.

they are obviously funded and supported by arms companies from countries in europe and perhaps the US and the UAE themselves, not only mugadishu and yemen like CNN like us to believe.

The BBC reports that most of these cats are allied to a group called Al-Shaabab, ruthless in confrontations and radical in executions.
Some say their arsenal has more than just AK47's and hand held rocket shooters, and it makes sense cause no one in his right mind would aim so high without proper weaponry.

I dare the US Navy to take a chance...

« on: December 10, 2008, 08:23:05 PM »
IT would have been helpful if we knew exactly what is happening with her and the show before we start signing petitions or debating about staff.

does any one know exactly what is going on, is lee being sacked? is the show being canned?has is it been suspended?till when? why? the WHAT part of all this is being disregarded but already people are signing up staff...

i think a team should be appointed to get the basic information about this whole thing and come back to AG... ???

Politics / Re: Congress of the People
« on: November 27, 2008, 11:45:13 PM »
Policies are what matters in politics, what are they gon do differently, what are their ideals besides a freedom charter compliant movement and a Malema-free political atmosphere?

COPE's emergence is dope for democracy but they just another elitist organisation that will want to get all academic about poverty and crime ::) f*** THEM!

their supporters are a bunch of stupid f***s who feel betrayed by the ANC but are resorting to a carbon copy of the same movement of careerists who are all about pink shirts and exploiting tender processes.

they'l need over half a million votes to book a seat in parliament, which can b daunting for a clique of reactionarists with expired political stamena.

We need change, and COPE is not the type of change we need,DA is not the type of change we need...we need a mindset kind of change!

Sports Arena / Re: Bafana 3 - Cameroon 2
« on: November 20, 2008, 08:59:31 PM »
a huge problem remains, i think bafana's perfomance will never be consistent untill SAFA takes Football seriously.

a win over Cameroon is nothing big, the bafana std has gone so low that we are forced to celebrate petty wins like thursday's game, agreed, good perfomance but credit still gets individualised, its either modise, pienaar or Mc Carthy, bafana bafana as a team does not have character anymore and its an old issue of development.

i mean, the game has advanced so much that the English,Czhecs,Italians and other african teams can almost give names of their 2018 W/C squads now! because they already have hundreds of potential youngsters whose lifestyles and general development are being closely monitored and moulded into fullon athletes for the future.

SAFA does not care about such initiatives. Money is not a problem at all, Khoza cashes in a minimum of 8mil on a happy day, not profit share> to a**emble a group of young boys and girls and get them programmed on sportsmanship, academics, life oriantation, maybe arts and culture and ENGLISH! and anything that will enhance general development outside the field is not a mission at all.

I stand to be corrected on this but apparently all the serie A and B coaches in Italy are all natives, thats how far we are left behind, forget about the confederations cup cats, the game is more than just talent and hardwork on match day, it involves wise and visionary administartion.

we beat cameroon 3-0 in '96, the likes of Ghana use to get sharp a** whiping on any given day,Mario Zagalo will tell you Brazil had to work hard to pull a win over Bafana , do not even talk about bo Lesotho, Botswana and Zim.

Thursday's win was dope one, but the only way to maintain a winning pattern is to organise a back up system...klaar!

SAFA should stop giving us Pr and advertising player's salaries to get the public to think that they are are doing everything ythey can to restore S.A football pride.
