Kool Out Entertainment in a**ociation with Millers, Red Bull, Adidas, and Butan Wear is bringing the legendary Ras Ka** to South Africa to promote his new album A.D.I.D.A.S (All Day I Dream About Spittin)

Known as one of hip hop’s sharpest lyricists, Ra** Ka** released his debut album “Soul on Ice” in 1996 which included the hits “Anything Goes” and “Soul on Ice”. This album was a major hit in South Africa and is widely considered a top 10 cla**ic hip hop album.

His second album “Rasa**ination” contained some of his most intellectual material to date and featured guest appearances from Xzibit and the Wu-Tang Clan’s RZA, as well as considerable a**istance from superstar West Coast producer Dr. Dre.

Ra** Ka** has gone on to release two more successful albums “Van Gogh” which featured the DJ Premier produced track “Goldyn Child” and “Institutionalized” while joining the hip hop supergroup HRSMN with Killah Priest, Canibus, and Kurupt.

In 2010, Ras released his latest album A.D.I.D.A.S and a viral marketing campaign called Save The Ras Ka**, which included a series of satirical webisodes about the plight of the endangered emcee.

Description

ZIMROCKS 2010 will be an International reggae, hip-hop, rock and international music concert to benefit the people of Zimbabwe. The concert is designed to raise money and awareness for those hit by worsening political and economic conditions in the southern African country of Zimbabwe. ZIMROCKS 2010 will be an International music concert to commemorate Bob Marley's 1980 performance at Rufaro stadium in Zimbabwe; its aim is to support community development projects and humanitarian aid for the people of Zimbabwe. The tentative date for the concert is April 19, to commemorate Bob Marley's April 19, performance at the Inauguration of Zimbabwe's independence. The concert, as part of Zimbabwe Independence day festivities, will contribute greatly to the economic benefit of the Zimbabwean economy overall. A percentage of the proceeds will go to benefit local communities and humanitarian aid projects. We educate by organizing and hosting events that focus on raising awareness and finding solutions for the social ills that plague so many of the world's peoples. We entertain by utilizing the same platform of social service to unite artists, audiences and our partners around a worthy cause. We create economic growth by the synthesis of education and entertainment, to create a highly effective platform to bring social responsibility and sound business practices to the people of the developing world.

General Discussion / HIGH5 CAPE TOWN
« on: March 19, 2009, 09:46:43 AM »
So i get this msg in my facebook crap, saying that High5(record store in capetown) are gonna now be moving great
local music thru thier store

So i send my man Gini Grindith thru to sell his album he just dropped, they tell him they have to listen to it first, when he returns the next day those lil f***s tell him they can't sell his album and he hasn't been active enough on the scene, because none of those cats have been around for that long or outta cpt. (why listen then) as well as Gin Grimes doesn't sound like "ETC"?(who have only been around for bout 3 yrs tops now) WTF?

Maybe i'm over-reacting cause it's my friend but i think that, thats some bullshit! So now 2 mommies boys who think they are on some musicical genius shit will dictate to buyers what type of music should be sold? Rather than realizing they a music store that should let ppl choose their own shit.

f*** A HIGH5!!!! f*** EM!!!!
