To be honest the album is really well worked. Not sure about shoot Franky.
Dope but walking the crossover line and I was just a little concerned as to why. The lyrics have softened that position.
Amazed at how toned down he is and that he is really able to spit without having to talk about totally crazy shit the whole time.
Good Morning is possibly one of the BEST produced tracks I have heard in my entire life. Too sick.
Well done to the man on this one but interested to see where he takes himself from here. If the last track on the album is any hint we'll probably all join him in that asylum when his next joint drops.
In short, not faultless but so so tight.

..We're f***ed when it comes to HIV. We have to do it as individuals and also on broad based levels.
We need to prevent and treat as well as cure society of some of the demons driving this shit.
Here's something to think about, one good, one bad.
Of a sample taken of schoolgoing young people who were tested and interviewed:
67% of those who risk rated themselves as "ZERO PERCENT LIKELIHOOD OF INFECTION" were already HIV positive.
97% of 15 year olds are negative in SA, I'm not too sure about the rest of Africa but figures show similar tendencies across at least Southern Africa.
We have a duty to keep this so and to change the bad. As people involved in Hip Hop and affilliated cultures we need to also form a unified voice against HIV. We can't wait for loveLife and Soul City all the time.
Form a freakin consensus, get out here and show unity on behalf of the culture towards defining HIV as the NEW ENEMY OF THE PEOPLE!

In essence I think its about your intentions as has already been said. If you look at Lauryn Hill or someone take your pick, her talent is essentially what made her a commercial success. She did't start off saying I wanna milk Hip Hop for what its worth and use it as a platform to get rich. She did what she did best to the fullest of her abilities and ended up getting paid for that.
Kanye West is another good example to some degree. Creative masturbation is admittedly taking things a bit far but I also have a problem with cats just simply trying to be gutter and uninteligible for the f*** of it.
Lets not forget that
"underground now days means undeveloped and unpolished..."
Thats not always so (Archetype shit off the hook to mention just one) but this has been noted as a real concern and it is sad when that is perpetuated. You have so many kids with so much possible content and impact and so often they are left at being little suburban terrorists. Some of the suburbs in Jozi are a f***in disgrace to the venerable art of graph all because rich kids can afford spray paint and shit. You know what I'm cracking at.
Hip Hop is a powerful vehicle for so much and ultimately not recognising the responsibilities that come with weilding something that powerful (think of a gun) are where you start to encounter real problems.
I have enough shit to live down on this site already but there's a buck something for what its worth. Wish I had just a little more time...

Dunno if OX is super scientifical, do have tendencies but I figure their formula was making that shit a bit more practical with some more social truth than your average.

So Can Ox are back with a release for December. Without a doubt these two really upped the stakes with the Cold Vein and it's difficult to think of a better combination. The questions remain.
Can Vast Aire produce the goods and keep Can Ox as an elite unit or did he snuff it on Look Mom No Hands?
Were they hot because they were different or will they remain an awe inspiring outfit?
I guess the release will reveal all and some of the live stuff sounds hot but I'm just not sure if thy will live up to their own standards.
Let's hope they do, even here in SA a lot of people were inspired to contribute to Hip Hop as a movement through being touched by some of the verses these two spouted. There's nothing worse than a fall off.
