i only started receiving aesop rock stuff late last year along with el-p.

i loved el-p because of the whole futuristic vibe and present tech age paranoia, and the beats (ohmyheavens) i havent heard stuff like this since doctor octogon...but better.

now i'm a protagonist for "intelligent hip-hop" but aesop rock is way over my head (whoosh!)
can even a quarter of listeners please explain to me verse for verse what he is talking about.its not deep ....just plain confusing.

i also recieved qwel meterial - hell's winter now recently.
the verdict is not in on qwel yet - but ive scanned the cage cd - and i can usually tell by scanning.
its not for me.

maybe someone who has his no. should call him.
like - hint hint nudge nudge

then i suppose we'll ahe to revert to sensible threads like " what type of sellotape do you use to keep your amplifiers wires together"

 dear ag'ers, i recently purchased a "pie on ear" amplifier & dint have the cash to buy the wires. So , like , after dismantling my mommy's abflex i , like, managed to gather enuff wire to play the thing.nawaumsayin.so like , for me to get the optimal quality sound..like..which tape do i use to prevent those tripping accidents which happen after a bankie.
yours.new ag'er

today's been a weird day.

what is even stranger to me is , what if you legally purchased an album online & have the music all the same?
 :?

I mean.....no more nice cd booklet photos, album cover etc. - for me that detracts from the feelgood element of owning a new cd.

or maybe it's just me resisting change.

@ tate - cd or vinyl?
with jazz stuff like mingus / monk / charlie paker etc the vinyl wins for me....everytime.

i benefited from your first answer actually.
I'm on that square right now , so at leat i know i'm sorta on the right track.

But if I'm trying to get advice on how to grow / handle / keep abreast with the industry etc within a certain profession how do i go about asking for help , where do i go etc.
Not everyone is keen to share info because theyre afraid of you taking their job.

Probably like an internship but less formal.
