unspoken societal expectations/rules- god forbid girl keeps multiple partners, but guy can. boy dont hit girl, no matter what...but in between our ideals and expectations, the thrills and spills or real life take over...I say no violence whatsoever...flowing whichever direction. just keep your head about you...act like you got some sense. that is all...no need for 16 days of activism...people (men and women) must just act right...urrrday.

point tooken nat...the conversation was considered, which is why i ackowledged my understanding that Ed meant no nastiness by it. but I tend to take a no exceptions stand on this particular subject...my own white friends know not take it there, and if they happen to,and most of the time it would be in a humour situ. i explain candidly my preference that they do not..and because theyre friends they tend to respect my feelings on this

i think on the other hand its a matter of..ok black people have finally taken full ownership of the title... (like they wanted us to)...now lay off it type shit. i think 'barring' white people from sayin it is in a small way an a**ertion of our ownership of the term and its meaning...us having reconfigured the negativity rooted in it for ourselves...I have many thoughts on this, dont know if i'm makin any sese at all
