So many talented SA coaches and you go for a foreign coach with a sub-par track-record? We are actually handing this dude experience by allowing him to coach Amakhosi. We shall see.

TwoTeams, co-sig on the Bobby sentiments. However, I still think the Chiefs coaching job is the hardest in SA. It's easier to coach at old clubs like Pirates and rich clubs like Sundowns than it is to coach at a big team like Chiefs. Just ask Papic and Dolezar. As for Khoza, he's got ties everywhere. He's probably got ties on AG. Careful what you say.

Arsenal won't buy established players. It will be the same story all over again. Cheap young players will be brought in and Arsene will tell us how Arsenal has a bright future. Come to think of it, Arsenal has had a bright future for the past 5 years. Aren't we in the future already? Wenger refuses to admit that his team has problems. There's no defence at Gunners. Had it not been for Arshavin, Liverpool might've thumped us too. Wenger needs to sell Adebayor and then buy David Villa. He also needs two QUALITY centrebacks (no cheap scraps please) and a quality defensive midfielder. I doubt Wenger will buy more than one quality play. He lives on another planet (alone) and doesn't see things the way other people see them. Honestly, I wouldn't blame the likes of RVP and Cesc if they were to leave at the end of the season. Players like them deserve to win trophies.

DRAMA , DRAMA , DRAMA !!!!!

Again for me Chelsea played negative football. It seems that's the only way to get @ Barca. Defend like hell, and try and get them on a counter. For me that's why Barca is "untouchable". 11 against 11, teams can't cope. They have to employ wack tactics like Chelsea did thru the two legs. Although Barca controlled the game again, Chelsea could have easily won. They had the most cut clear chances but didn't take them. Drogba is a COW for real. LOL !!! Like WTF ???? He would fit in very nicely @ Serie A, preferably playing alongside that other COW Inzaghi @ Milan. LOL !!

As for the referee, the only decision for me was the PIQUE handball. that definitely was a penalty and he should have given it.Everything else was debatable. Barca would have been dead and buried then. But i think he was trying to compensate for the Abidal's Red Cad. Like again why a red card ? Abidal didn't even foul dude. I think he knew after that decision that he would have to compensate Barca somehow.

BEAUTIFUL INIESTA !!!!

Overall im glad Barca won cos they deserved it. The were the better side again, Chelsea had the second goal been constantly presented to them from their counters but they couldn't take them. I told ya'll, LONDON CLUBS ARE WICK WIKEDY WACK. LOL !!!

And now for the dream final. And u know im neutral for that one.

TWO TEAMS, signing out.

Yo MrTwoTEAMS+Referee A.K.A I'm Always Trying To Be Safe, Barca where lucky last night. Quit fronting. ScorIng in the dying seconds, all those penalty appeals... UEFA must do away with the away goals rule. It's unfair for teams to go out of the tournament when the scores are level. It makes no sense! Tactically, Hiddink was the superioir coach. I think his game plans for both matches went the way he wanted them to. I'm positive most non-Man U supporters want Barca to win.

Sports Arena / Who was that in the Arsenal kit?
« on: May 06, 2009, 09:47:06 AM »
I don’t know the team that played against United last night. They wore the right colours but played the wrong football.  Where was Arsenal? That was supposed to be a humdinger. Instead, we were subjected to watching a dud after about 10 minutes. I’m sure even the neutrals would’ve been upset with Arsenal for not entertaining. We were thoroughly beaten over two legs. We hardly ever looked like scoring at our home ground. Ronaldo, Carrick, Anderson and Park dominated us (poor Cesc fighting by himself against two central midfielders). We need two new defenders and a quality defensive midfielder. No more buying youngsters, we’ve got enough of them. A bit of experience please Arsene.  We can no longer afford to groom youngsters for other teams (they always leave us). I’m afraid there might be a major exodus at the end of the season. Van Persie, Adebayor and Fabregas will certainly be tempted. I doubt we’ll keep them. We did well to get to the semis but lost to a team that played with more purpose and guile. Honestly though, if Man U wins the league and Champs league, then that means Chelsea, Liverpool and Arsenal were all in the same boat. We all played catch-up to United.

Hip Hop Events / Re: Mos Def JHB Concert
« on: April 10, 2009, 05:18:57 PM »
Glad I didnt pay for that show. A lot of people might climb on top of me for this but Mos could've done better than that. All that dancing and Jamaican babbling in between got to me. Instead of making us listen to other people's music, he could've perform more songs like Mr Nigga. Sure, he's Mos, a talented dude but to me, Zaki was much better than him on the night. He even looked mad high on stage. Show didn't live up to its hype.

I agree with TwoTeams and Peewee. I thought Electric Circus was wack. The beats weren't easy on my ear. I liked 'Be' and 'Finding Forever'.

TwoTeams is right. Dplanet, you complain about everything. The review didn't damage Sharpa's cred. No need to be salty. Pioneer Unit is doing good things, quit majoring on minors and live happily ever after. Otherwise send all your artists' releases to 'Europe' for review. They might do a better job than the SA journalists.

Yo Ttp, next time you review any album that comes out of Dplanet's camp, remember to call him so he can tell you what to write. If you'd rather not call him, just give the artist 5/5 and remember to mention how great of a CEO Dpleezy is.

She did not go to see the gynaecologist (sp) this morning. She says she'll go when her friend is in town i.e. next week. huh. Now i have to wait one more week to know what's up. And yeah, I would take the advice of telling my story to the gyna if she allowed me to go with her. She said there is no ways we going together.

Paternity test! You don't want to be one of those dudes who find out that the kid is not theirs after you've paid for his primary, high school and tertiary fees. What if that kid becomes president and some other bum reaps the rewards of your hardwork?

I'm all for taking risks, but I believe that this statement is not true. From what I understand, there is always a noticeable difference between local and international covers. international covers always sell more than local. Like there is a big difference between Jay Z cover and Ben Sharpa cover. This may be because Jay Z has appeal with more than "heads" . So they get more buyers. To me it sounds like they are competing with other youth mags, e.g. Y mag (if it still exists).

I'm sure stats could support your argument. Perhaps the season in which the issues came out could also be a contributing factor.. I may be wrong but Wasn't the Jay-Z cover out during Christmas time?

But, yeah it is a bit warped that a cover could have so much power over an established magazine. Surely the majority of Hype supporters don't just buy a magazine for the cover story? Especially seeing that the international covers are not providing "breaking" or "exclusive" news?

Maybe the main problem with local covers is, for the most part, industry cats all think they deserve one, so their seldom happy with having another local industry cat on the cover before them? A ton of local hip hop heads in the country always ask questions like "what has so and so ever done to deserve a cover?".

Interesting points.

True story. I think the fact that we even have local kats on the cover is an accomplishment. If the sales are more when an international artist is on there then from a business perspective it would be wise to stick to the international covers then.

What are you talking 'bout? This is a South African magazine!
