Word, a piece i wrote recently. Its kinda long. But its good coz im thinking of recording it too. Enjoy.
Part 1
At times im pinned to the ways of this planet
my mind padlocked, with no understanding
no space to breathe, to see or to feel
no place to be free, to be real or to dream
im trying to be free from earthly mentality
people blocking my dreams by the things they say to me
they tell me "the sky is the limit so keep on rising"
next thing they telling me "be content", damn its agonising
my forefathers fought for freedom of speech,
im not fighting im just asking can i have the freedom to be
give me the keys, society has hidden the keys to my locks
i needa be released, pop out like a jack-in-the-box
and when i do, y'all can forget about the sky as the limit
im a star so to me the constolations are my limits
infact i got no limits, the universe is in my hands
so i GOT to spin it, i call the shots, coz i got my plans
im a dreamer and my dream is to see all the dreamers BE
why we gotta adapt? why cant the environment adapt to we
those who fail to dream let them live their false reality
let them wake up, eat, sh*t, go sleep and start again
what more can i say, im through with pretend
the world is an orchestra and im the chief conductor
i set the moods: happy! low! thrilling! suspence!
Suspence? What? Wait...

ha! just got a revelation, you gone love it.
Part 2
What if all i do is because of a greater orchestrater
who calls himself sovereign & says that he's the creator
of the universe and all within and has the right to make us dance to his rhythm
pulling threads invisible to us but as as clear as ropes to him
like a basketball has the world on finger causing it to spin
then it falls off and the impact changes the world in an instant
bad results imminent, like the tsunamis for instance
he picks it up again & it spins normal again
then looks too plain & normal to him so he pricks it with a pin
and a puncture occurs and winds begin to blow within
just a few mild winds, you know, hurricane katrina & them
then patches it up & says "they dont know i got more for them"
he talks to his son & says "im just preparing the world for you
you know, add a little drama so more people can believe in you"
the son says, "but papa, why not do it peacefully"
the reply "its too late, im just charting history
you see, before the earth even was, this i declared to be
even hitler & idi amin, i threw them in specifically
so they can spark the revolution of those who'll call on we
to get to peace my son, you gotta go through war & bleeding"
"thats right, i was innocent and they hung me on the cross"
"no my son, i opened their minds and threw in those thoughts
i made them do what they did, made them think what they thought
thats what i do to people who living life nonchalant
yes even those ones, those who life live a blunt at a time
and ones who always strapped with a nine, putting shells in people spines
and those who tryna be gangsters or g's, commiting felonys
and the paper lovers too, those who lust after money
and those who always wanna have sex always running after pussy
and those who look for knowledge stamped on certificates with seals
and those who want power & respect for no particular reason
all these are the people who live with earthly mentality
all these are my puppets, those that hang on my strings
all these i mobilize to give the dreamers the space that they need
thats the space to breathe, to see and to feel
the space to be free, to be real and to dream.
