f*** that chika... Her bias and undermining is upsetting! But as u can make out, with the right care or rather, in proper hands, its not a life threatening ritual at all.. I mean u have circumcision rituals in some cultures where a great number of initiates are placed in one hut and it is known that one of them is to be sacrificed. The mothers only find out if they're son has been sacrificed by not seeing him upon the day of descent when the young men are paraded for all the village to admire. Its a momentous occasion where there will be ululating women with the contrast of one particularly distraught one! Now thats gangsta....

to add to this, most of the boys that endure traumatic and fatal circumstances are often those that do so behind their parents back like the kid on cutting edge. They therefore bypa** the a lot of the preparations and rituals, including the sourcing of qualified caregivers for their benefit. And the unfortunate part is that the people responsible for the actual circumsion only care for the money put before them and not the morality behind their actions

its because of greed. The kids are being taken care of by other kids who have nothing but vengeance and naughtiness on their minds. I watched half of it before i was totally disgusted. @ anna - this sort of thing happens with the underpriveleged because cats from well of families have well trusted elders and caretakers from their own families who ensure such negligence never prevails. no doubt! I agree fully 1 person being responsible forr the nursing of umkhwetha because it ensures safety including hygiene because frankly u have no idea where amanye amadoda hav been with their hands okanye athwele ntoni nha, which is rife in transkei as witchcraft is big in the rural areas of my homeland. They should review the system but in such a mannr that does not disgrace the custom.

I am very disappointed at Dunga for not including Ronaldino in his provincinal provisional world cup squad! Dude has been out of form in the past 2 season but his performance in the 2009/10 Season was great and proved sceptics wrong that hes not finished!!

I wouldn't include ROnaldhino in my squad..he is fat...immobile and no commitment whatsoever to defending.. The skill is still there but the lack of pace is the key issue.

i feel ya. i think the less 'cheesy' are definitely puttin their hands up but it won't happen overnight. another thing is, the average age of the cats u speak of almost certainly determines why it is as it is... around the time that our generation <25-35> where get put up on rap music, it was exclusively american and access to it was not easiest(not sure about Jozi but it should ring true there too).. cats that listened to exclusively english vernacular normally came from well off families and went to schools where they were one of few darkies and always spoke English as a result. i mean, even cats that grew up eKasi but went to 'model Cheesy' schools
