Hip Hop Events / Metabolism turns 21 years old

Its been a while since i been here, anyway, hope you haters are all good and the real peops are feeling the same.  Have not had a lot of posts on this piece but i have been watching since i joined here around 2005 if not mistaken.

So check it, it appears that Metabolism is turning 21 this year and has decided to have a party since he can not remember his sweet 16.  The gig will be free to all that can make it and those that cant will be charged 45 bucks .  It will be at Roots in obs lower main road on Sunday 13th. I know some will complain, but hey, its a free to get in and i will be doing a solo set with tracks that will be on the Beverages project that i am working on.

@ Metabs: The topic is SA hip hop sux. The present hypothesis is that people like Hoodlum are killing it coz of the way they dress (?).
Apparently according to the self-appointed authorities on what is "REAL" (zooloo & cash):

BUT Hoodlum's lip-ring ="gay" and "not hip hop" (?)

Now why cats focusing on shit that doesnt even affect them.  You want a tongue ring, bust a move.  Dont get mad when cats laugh at your a**, we are all losing the focus and thats just  the other reason why we are kiling hip hop in the country.  We are killing ourselves cous if we want to keep this shit local, then look in house and keep it origional.  If you rap in vernac, we all know the boundries of vernac and kwaito so dont call it hip hop when that shit plain KaK, then do it proper!!!  to preserve it we should not change something that isnt boken so if you try to reach the kwaito ma**ive, then either do kwaito or just keep it real.  How did any of you cats get into hip hop.  Now why do want to find kwaito rap as a mean of gathering a crowd.  If we support ourselves, then we will reach the ma**es.  Not shootin this at you taite, thanks for bringin me up to speed cous i am just skeemin through all this bullshit about rings.  It doesnt affect me so i keep it away.  Gay cats can be gay,but dont bring that shit to me.  The most important thing here that we fail to understand is, fashion has its boundries and you can find cats that are dope in rappin that will chow mc's, but you say to cheesy cous of a ring?   I been rappin since 94 and been on this site for eons, and this the first time when i can say that cats are loosing the plot in hip hop for real.  Shame :oops:  :oops:  :oops:

Yo, to all artists who will be in, or making their way to, Cape Town in december and who woulde like to share a stage then this here is for you.

I will be doing events at a venue called liquid, which oppiste the Good Hope, in december and i am looking for artists to perform. I have a good mind on who will be there, and some of the artists i have spoken to already.
