Man a perfect mix sounds dope on any platform. PC, laptop, cellphone etc.. Man i've heard a ton of producers beats on youtube that sound better than most peoples CDR quality stuff, myself included.

If your tracks mixed propper, it will knock. If you sound is wack no headphone ever built will make it sound like Quincy Jones.

Yep. room accoustics are important but if you understand sounds, you can always compensate for "hostile" or "harsh".

A good set of headphones helps as well testing your mix on different systems.

My only concern is that there always seems to be a lack of involvement AHHI has with the greater hip hop communities in the country making it very hard for people in provinces outside the Cape/s to get involved and properly support the initiative.

Its a good thing that AHHI is hosting other nations this year but it would be nice if the other provinces could be involved in it somehow. As it is, it seems like an operation run by a clique without any intention of opening doors to see where others could a**ist. I don't know how it is in other provinces but theres little to know promotion in Gauteng. Its a shame that more is done to promote the show in other external areas when the initiative is so segregated.

Perhaps its just me who see's it that way?

Nah i dont have one at the moment. Thats the one Kenny rented for Bahamadia when she was down here. Was fortunate enough to try it out. have used the 1000 and the 2500 in the past and Trompie still needs to show me the ropes on the 500.

YEah the Strawbs have dope covers. I havent really had time to listen to their music but i've bought their records based on the strength of their covers.
