Sounds good... I'm feeling tracks 1, 2 & 3.. The beats take me back... The sample on track 2 sounds so familiar... THink J-zone may have flipped it once.. cant wait till the full thing drops.

Glad I didnt pay for that show. A lot of people might climb on top of me for this but Mos could've done better than that. All that dancing and Jamaican babbling in between got to me. Instead of making us listen to other people's music, he could've perform more songs like Mr Nigga. Sure, he's Mos, a talented dude but to me, Zaki was much better than him on the night. He even looked mad high on stage. Show didn't live up to its hype.

He just looked happy to me. Don't think many people expect a smiling rapper. Maybe next time he will ice grill like the Game for two hours too make people happy.

Whether he was high or not is inconsequential, because he gave a concise and coherent performance. didn't forget his lines or the many other iconic hip hop verses, dating back to late 70s that he periodically included throughout his set. That show showed me how much love for what he does and for hip hop music.

Their a number of songs that i also wish he performed, but it doesn't take away from my enjoyment of the show, his performance was a tribute to music, not just hip hop..

I'm really glad u didn't waste your money on the show though. It would have been a bitter pill to swallow, spending R250 and not hearing the song you wanted to hear.

sure dude, he probabaly doesn't need your dough anyway, but on the real u cats are expecting to hear what they know or what they can lipsynch to, truth of the matter dude gave you one of the best live performances u could probably see in SA

Too each is own.. Because you didn't understand it, doesn't mean its "babbling"

Nyambz ive been meaning to ask: what does Omero mean? its a really cool name.

Omero means, honor or promise/pledge

but dude seems to be riding doom's dick for a minute... wat the deal wit the mask???

I think its cool that someone of Mos Stature can humble himself and give another peer that level of props and respect.

But i feel you, it was R250 well spent.

lol

I enjoyed it.. I think he has incredible control over the crowd. Very charming and charismatic. It wasn't so much that the performance was lengthy but my wife and I had someone baby sitting for the first time, so we were both a bit nervous and conscious of the time so that killed some of the enjoyment.

But he did come out to entertain, which was impressive. For an artist with as many hits as he has, he could have just rattled off hits one after another, but instead he gave us a slice of Mos Def. He really is a fan of music and hip hop. And its evident how much it means to him and how grateful he was too be out there rocking for us.

One of the best performance i've ever been to.

Dplanet.. I feel you.. I think you have been very harshly targeted and abused in this thread..

The problem with album reviews is that their based on interpretation and in some cases pre-existing bias. In SA there general opinions about Sharpa are either favorable or unfavorable. There is no in between. This is highlighted by the highly contrasting local reviews. On a street level i either hear hate or love for Sharpa, never any people who are indifferent. The funny thing is these opinions are usually formed without anyone picking up a sharpa cd.

Your more likely to get an objective Sharpa review internationally where the bias (favorable or unfavorable) doesn't exist.

With regards to the French piece you posted, that's an interpretation that you share with the reviewer but it could have gone either way if their interpretation clashed with yours.
