Hot Traxxx / Re: overratted female mc's
« on: March 11, 2009, 01:54:34 PM »
Nthabi is not one of my favourite emcees, I find her predictable and monotonous - but that said; all due respect MC Likwid Ice, I think caling her a bitch is going way too far. You being an mc yourself and being female, you should know better than to start refering to other women artists as bitches. Not that it's wrong of course if that's how u feel, but u don't earn such labels just because you're whack. Back up the bitch part for us please...

It's sad enough that these kind of terms are used by some men on women artists to underestimate them but coming from another woman artist ,it's sad, dissapointing and definitely not a good look on you. Tell me, do you suffer a complex of sorts that makes you think in order to shine you gotta put others down?

I cant listen to this abstract bullshit anymore

me too. if i cant understand you now, the shit better sound musical. I also think the Groundworx album is overrated. the beats on that album are garbage really. well most of them. a few tracks there are my all time favourites though.

i still maintain, it's a matter of personal choice. One man's trash, another man's meal type ish...

Fresh interview…I’ll probably never stop listening to Funcrusher either. In all honesty, I hold LP in high regard for his musical capabilities; a lot of the stuff he messes with is just remarkable.
As much as Funcrusher and Cold Vein were conceived in different eras, they were in so many ways albums that kind of turned a fresh leaf in Hip Hop. It’s actually rear to find albums like that...that kind of incite other forms of looking at the art form and mark a new era, or new school of thought etc. You know the sht that sparks shit, like there was actually a CoFlow era, a Dead Prez era, that kind of influential material that has potential to produce both the wannabes AND at the same time, lchannel some to where they should be. (must admit though DP has long taken dead precedence in me)

oh please...uJulius Silima

he doesn't even know what an American accent sounds like, Pandor doesn't even have an American accent.

@ the panic! I hear you but in certain cultures there are certain ways in which you don't speak to or of elders whether it concerns politics or not.
If he were just critisizing her, it would be understandable but humiliating her inpublic about something totally irrelevant to the issue at hand, was just plain uncalled for.

LOL @ Peewee.

ive read somewhere his ol man used to whup his mama's a**. and he didnt like it. now for him to turn around and do it must've really been something. im saying it wud be good to find the reasons out before condemning him. u know how women like to test men.

regardless. physical abusing a woman aint a good look. but lets wait and find out why.

but this is probably the root of his behaviour...this could sound like psychobabble but most kids who grow up witnessing abuse are likely to turn out abusive themselves, no matter how much they despise it.

SOUTH AFRICANS ABROAD CAN VOTE: HIGH COURT

South Africans abroad should be allowed to vote, the Pretoria High
Court ruled on Monday.
Handing down judgment, Acting Judge Piet Ebersohn ruled that the
current legislation infringed on the rights of South Africans living
abroad.
The court ruled that the electoral act "limited" the casting of
votes to people temporarily living abroad. It referred the judgment to
the Constitutional Court for confirmation.
The Independent Electoral Commission was also ordered to change its
voting procedures so as to allow South Africans living abroad to vote.
Speaking outside the court, Freedom Front Plus spokesman Willie
Spies said the Constitutional Court could overrule the judgment.
The FF Plus brought the application on behalf of a South African
school teacher living in the United Kingdom.
Currently certain groups, including government employees and people
on holiday and business trips, could have arrangements made for special
votes.
The party would file an application in the Pretoria High Court
asking that the proclamation of the voting day be postponed to allow
the Constitutional Court ample time to consider the matter.
The application was expected to be heard shortly after midday. - SAPA

This thread has been derailed and alas gone totally awry, so I will edit irrelevant posts at will...

Back to the topic:

I wanna know from South Africans living abroad what you are gonna do about absentee voting. All the American kids my cla** were able to vote last November even though they live out here.

apparently the Pretoria High Court just ruled in favour of VF, that SA people overseas can vote, and has deemed parts of the Electroral Act invalid. Ruling still has to be pa**ed on to the ConCourt for confirmation though.

No dates announced yet

"Burning like match stix, controversial like an exposed match fix/
I stand out like clitoris on extreme black chicks/"

One of the dopest local trax ever, I think it's on Jabba's 2nd album and it's title is also Harambe if I'm not mistaken..I'll check 4 u on my archives when I get home

:o :o :o nc nc nc ...yah ne?

reading this i'm reminded of an old Archetypes track, the hook went "what's the meaning of dope...dope dope dope...? maybe I can manifest it through the rhymes that I wrote"
what the f*** is the meaning of dope people...????

"Burning like match stix, controversial like an exposed match fix/
I stand out like clitoris on extreme black chicks/" :-\ :-\

(by the way that Harambe joint was really nice)

Dope is an opposite of wack, something someone like you will probly choose to call "really nice"...& re-read my above comment, I was referring to the whole track not just those bars I quoted, just that the rhyme scheme and use of similies on them was  'really nice'

but of course you're right Habbit...
i understood your comment well. True to all that u say... absolute gravy!!!
PEACE, my above statement was in no way a challenge to yours. i just wanted to know what the meaning of dope was.
