HATE:The Urban Dictionary (not the best reference but the only comprehensive one relevant to Hip Hop I found) defines "HATE" as follows:
"HATE - (noun). Calculated and/or intentional intense dislike; an intensified and elevated level of anger; an unnatural emotion (i.e. hate is something that is derived from natural emotions such as anger or fear); learned dislike or loathing of another person, group, or thing."

"Whut has that BITCH Lee exactly done for hip hop? Played a hip hop track list thats prepared by the white dude behind her. She's done a lot more to promote Chingy, HHP and the likes. Hip hop is not a moral school or church, so don't non of u clit lickin motherf***ers try to play a parentin role on me. I copped the new YMAG, and it's basically the same shit as the Hype, only difference is that the YMAG is better written, wit occa**ional pretentions by that ugly BITCH Lee at being intelligent. Rush u think u buddies cause she gave u a shout on the editorial. She's just being nice, and lookin for validation. So choke on a shit sandwiche and go to hell."
CRITICISM:Definitions of criticism on the Web:
disapproval expressed by pointing out faults or shortcomings; "the senator received severe criticism from his opponent"
a serious examination and judgment of something; "constructive criticism is always appreciated"
a written evaluation of a work of literature
http://wordnet.princeton.edu/perl/webwn?s=criticismThe above definition (should we chose to accept it) implies that for commentary to be labeled "Criticism" there needs to be a some sort of serious examination pointing out the faults/ points of contention.

"Yeah the album sucks, the only joint i felt was the one produced by Dome. The David Kau skit is hilarious though.
Infa should just quit rapping and stick to making beats. He keeps gettin worse and worse with lines like "Always ready, like ever-ready" . I mean really.
What i don't understand about Skwatta is how on all their albums, half of the tracks are about a**es, tities and chicks shaking it and the other half is on some concious "u can achieve" type shit."
There appears to be a lot of misconception recently on AG about what is "HATE" & what is "Constructive Criticism"
Too often people are quick to dismiss differences in opinions/ criticism as "hate". If you are going to be on a public forum of your peers posting things for people to review then expect to be criticised. Everything each one of us posts be it a 1 line comment or a 21track full album is subject to criticism. Anyone participating on this forum should therefore be open to criticsm.
Ergo, we should be able to distinguish between the above defined concepts of HATE vs CRITICISM.
Speaking personally as one who is often labeled a "hater" I can say I have a deep-rooted respect & admiration for Hip Hop culture & music to which I owe much in my life. As such feel obligated to try & uplift the entire hip hop movement.
I always try & contribute constructive criticism by
motivating why I disagree with opinions, tracks etc. I am open to criticism but please don't HATE on me because I criticise.
My intention is never to counter-productively HATE so please dont misconcrue my opinions as such.
I got too much love for hip hop.
