Hot Traxxx / Jozi

What's with the attitude/Why you wanna be rude?

As it plays on the radio right now, I have to go on record sayin it's the isht!

I think the one of the most clever "released" productions right now (I'm talkin about the use of the sample..both choice and technique).

Who agrees?

Who does'nt want to give it its just props because of the group dynamics and not becuase of the music it's self.

Sh!ts catchy. Was singing that while chowing breakfast this morn.

Hip Hop Events / Nas supporting Jigga
« on: October 03, 2006, 12:19:47 PM »
8) That might be how it looks (gonna look) but here's my prediction for that night.

Jigga man. Check.
Nas. check.
Beyonce. Check.
Rihanna. Check.
Bouga 2 shoes. Check. ..."I'm not a Kwaito Star, I'm a hustler!"..seems like a more than a coincidence seeing as he'll be sharing the concert with one who says "I'm not a rapper, I'm a hustler".

This is gonna be a huge night. Too bad about Big Concert's stance on local rap artists as previously discussed. That aside it's gonna be sick.

Hot Traxxx / Technique & Hov
« on: November 07, 2005, 01:59:42 PM »
Was chillin listeing to THe Essence show last night;

1. Immortal Technique- You never know That track had me thinking, daaaammn. The story in that song, man that's what's missing in mainstream hip hop these days. Real life stories like that-that's the type of sh** I be on, & searching to develop too. (if this is any indictaion of the calibre of his music, I've been unnecessarily sleeping on this cat (no homo)

What do you think of that joint.  I don't know what album it's off. IT fans?

2. In case you sleeping, HOV is back b!tches!   ...Officially that is. It's not like he went anywhere.

"I declare War"

I see Jay announcing doin' somethin with Nas, both going at Fiddy & the G Unit.

This might happen.
If so, this might be sick.
This would be sick coz becoz of the different relationship dynaimcs...Em-Fiddy Em-Jay, Em-Nas, Dre-Jay, Dre-Nas (Dre laced Nas back in the day; track talking about beefs be stupid let's get money), G Unit "youngsters" having to soldier up to get at Jay for coming at The General.

We might have to ALL push back our releases coz all spotklights would be on this WWF/ MTV/ most interesting rap cypher sh!t to go down in a minute.

"The day Yayo's album drop, I want everyone who can to go out and re-cop The Documentary! Anyone who does so can send the album in to The Black Wallstreet offices & I will personally sign it & send it back with a copy of my new mixtape Ghost Unit (Life After 300 Bars). If you can't afford it, don't do it but if you can let's go out & kill these motherf***er's until 50 & Sha is Irv [Gotti] & Ja [Rule]. G-Unot!"

:? Errr, hat's off, quite an original gimmick right there. A lot of admin if the numbers come in. But still- re-coping the Doc...brilliant.
I personally like the "if you can't afford it, don't do." THat just appeals to the emotional part of fans coz now U JUST gonna...like it's a good cause or somethin' nahmean.            ....clickity clank!

P.S. Who's gonna make the most everytime these 2 albums sell? ....That's right Psych Majors...Mr. Just a lil bit. WW-HipHop. Gotta love it.

50 Cent's prodigy, The Game, has come out and said he's ashamed at having another go at 50 after the pair decided to call a truce.
Game's Apologies:

"I am very upset with myself, and ashamed, to have participated in the things that have been going on."

"I'm definitely not the person who started it."

"I had my back against the wall and was forced to defend myself - I'm ashamed and am really apologetic."

A couple of weeks back (Yayo interview)
Quote

He says, "Tony Yayo, I bets 10Gs you flop."
-Man he knows I'm not gonna flop so that's just a hater. Plus I don't think he's gonna have 10Gs.
How do you feel about how Game hnadled himself before he got kicked out of Gunit?
-I ,mean this guy's an idot, I mean this guy is crazy, if you look at the situation he's been in, he's the same guy that said "f*** Jay-Z" and Jay-Z is considered a legend in the rap game, then the next day he says 'sorry' to him. He says, "Beenie segal can suck my dick." Then the next day he says 'sorry' to him. He says "f*** Joe Budden", and then the next day he's in The Source with him. He says "f*** Benzino", and the next day he's on the cover of The Source. He says, "Tony Yayo's the best rapper in GUnit," the next day he says "Tony Yayo" is gonna flop.

I knew after that Summer Jam stunt he's gonna trun around and say sorry again. This cat really is a proven studio gangsta now.  :? Wasted my time bumping The Documentary.

>who you think should be gracing the cover & your reasons,
>then vote for your best so far,
>& predict who's next
>Predict who would never.

1. First off, I ain't gonna front The Innovators.
With the "popularity" of mixtapes these days, let it be known who's been running this mixtape scene for 4yrs.
Enough people got their cds/files/Tdks of our isht.
3 Time African Hip hop Indaba Award nominees.
13 CD compilations/mixtapes/albums featured on worldwide & still going.
Could give an interesting insight on the independent artist's grind, and how to create little markets fro yourself worldwide, DIY 101.

2. A producers collective
Call it, Bumpin' Headz. Get it? Their beats are getting Head'z heads bumpin(boping) ...Nyambz, Battlekat, Draztik, Omen, Infa, Dplanet, Ootz, Amu, e.t.c. I'm sure these names being house-hold with the headz, it would be could to further educate the ma**es by slapping their mugs on those magzine shelves. Then people don't have to going , "Battlekat did that song for you? Cool! Hmmm, Who's Battlekat?"

3. Palimpsest  8)
Supa looked nice on that cover (the chic not mincing her words and giving INfa a run for his money on the HYPE vol3 CD.."lick/kiss my anus/ your highness e.t.c.). Palimpsest ..(Mmaphuti for those sleeping on the artist name) would do the cover justice. Can I be seconded on this one.

--------------------
Best so far was the Zubz "Citizens of Zamunda behold" cover.
---------------------
I successfully predicted Cashless, Zubz. Township was a surprise, Hymphatic too, I thought Proverb or Prokid had it locked for that one. But maybe Proverb did'nt get it coz he was on the Y. Supa, I did'nt even know her. But it was refreshing to have some cleave I'm mean sleave front cover that was different. Plus I guess the free fancy shampoo for chics
whatever did'nt hurt the sales.

I predict the PROs sharing the spot.
-----------------------
Well, Syd has pulled a f888 double XXL EM move. Like at XXL, he won't be getting that cover for while. * but coould sneak himself in next to PRO, u know ala PUff Daddy & BIG>   (joke joke joke, no offense no offense no offense)
