3. Nas feat. 'Kiss and Luda (Kiss merc's 'em both on this joint)
10. Basically anybody feat. 'Kiss

Normally point #10 would be true. But truthfully the show stops with Luda on that Made You Look remix.

Jay-Z ft. Beanie Sigel- "the streets is talking" - was a tough track but B.S outdid jigga..no question!

Objection. What did he actually say? He was rambling. Jay killed it.

It's Mtv. Chances are very high people are going to pitch up.
Not very good PR to snub this particular event considering it's the first, where it's airing, where it is & who's throwing it.

Current top-sellers (sellouts?) in hip hop…

T.I.  shocks many, not only going gold within one week, but taking the number one spot by a sound margin.
Rank   Artist                Album               This Week   Est. Total
1   T.I.                 Paper Trail   568,383                569,361

Nah, maybe Shawty Low & company that wrote dude off. Off the strength of No Matter What I knew dude was still on point. No really feeling Whatever you like, but with the street video in that naysayer's Bowen Homes hood; when he pulled out the foldout garden chair & parked, threw a big @ss braai for everyone in the dude's hood with enough prior advertising of his whereabouts & intentions, even went to the dude's doorstep looking for him, :D it was wrap :

Best ether 2008.

With less than a month on the charts, LL Cool J may soon be leaving the Top 100. The icon emcee's Exit 13 found its place at #88 this past week, at just under 75,000 units sold.
88   LL Cool J        Exit 13              6,940          73,112

Unfortunate turn of events for the Icon that's LL. But what were the chances Def jam would put alot of manpower behind this given his last record and being clear it's the last album in the contract. Was this the record Curtis Executive Produced?

are these for real?
Why Game n Weezy on there?

I imagine including American Artists as nominees is for the right reasons; such as
(i) putting American and African artists on the same stage and the same awarding criteria to show that good music is good music regardless of geographical origin.
(ii) blurring those same distinctions that translate into boardroom decisions that decided to place all genres of music from Africa into the "World Music section" of retail music shelves abroad.
(iii) to combat the perception the average misinformed American has about African music and it's people e.g. the imagination that our music consists of banging on skin drums & jumping around in the dust.

People making music in Africa win.

Mya has been Extra...since waaaay back.
Farrah just couldn't keep up with the Destiny's Child schedule.
Beyonce has been "the hottest chick in the game." The frontin on her has always been & still is unnecessary.

Was is it actually Mya all over that Hi Hater remix video or a look alike?

Very dope thread.

Off the top right now:
1. Proverb - Letter to my Ex
2. Kataklizm - Day N' Night
3. MC Nota- Sands of Time
4. Kingpinn - I Salute You
5. Zubz - No Place Like Home
6. Zubz - My Distress
7. Mizchif - Fashonable
8. Reggie Rock Stone - Keep your eyes on the road.
9. "Mau" + "another dude" + Zubz - "Let me take you on a trip around my country" (Exact title can't remember right now).
10. Mau Mau - "Mau Mau" if that's the real title.
11. Naeto C + Ikechekwu - Kini Big Deal
12. Mizchif - Place for a Wife
13. Dj Jimmy Jatt, Mode9, 2Face e.t.c. - Stylee (not too sure of exact spelling)
14. Kingpinn - Inauguration
15. Snazz + "another dude" - 2 sides to every story.
16. Dama Do Bling - Chamadas Para Bling

Dama Do Bling is a Moz nominee. I have yet to come across a track she has or is featuring on that is NOT dope. Makes me almost backtrack on the whole vernac rap accessibility debate. Or maybe she does it for other reasons.  :-\
