 @ Fah.U serious man?U say its that addictive?I have been near one to be honest, but everyone is raving bout it.I know J.Wells (west coast producer) uses the MPC3000 as he said in his interview and of course his vinyls. He did the track with Bishop Lamont called Its Bishop.Hot track.

It was my first encouter too that's why I got so excited. I've only spent 1 hour with it so any detailed questions should be directed to the more knowledgeable cats(Nyambz, Phil, Ed) or people who have actually ownwd them.

Yeah, I think we all agree: they are freakin expensive!

The MPC400 is huge, it looks like a computer already.

have you seen this: MPD16
Quote

The days of programming drum sequences via a keyboard are gone forever. 16 MPC-spec pressure-and-velocity sensitive drum pads generate Note-On velocity when tapped. In Full-Level mode, the MPD16 produces data with velocity value of 127, regardless of the velocity of the pad tapped and in 16-Level mode it allows you to generate the note velocity in 16 steps with 16 pads. The active pad (note number) is the last pad played just before the 16-Level key was pressed. The Bank key switches between banks 1 and 2 allowing access to 2 separate banks of sounds. The Active key enables the fader which outputs MIDI control changes. The various parameter settings, such as MIDI Note a**ign, MIDI Channel, MIDI Control Change, etc. can be a**igned from the computer via USB.

^^ using this with computer software such as FL Studio and Reason you can get that "mpc feeling" while working with on beats. But although its a quater of the MPC1000, its still not that cheap actually.

Where your war face?

Do you have their last album "Fear, Love & War"? The reason we dont hear from them is because this abum came out around the World Trade Center bombing and due to the extremist content of the album it got black-balled by the industry.

israeli news:

I dont know if Killa Sin is out of jail yet. (Superb(from Ghostface's T-Unit) is coming out 2007 :? )

Beretta changed his name to "Kinetik" and also did some tracks with Superb.

I think PR Terrorist changed his name to something else too, dont remember.

4th Disciple released a mixtape with Hell Razoh(from Sunz of Man) called "Freedom of Speech Part I". In a recent interview he said they will be working on the second instalment of that project coming out later this year. Hell Razah is busy promoting the Black Market Militia right now.

9th-Prince had a solo like 2 years ago, "Granddaddy Flows". It was dope does anybody here have it? I lost my "copy"

Dom pachino? I have no idea.

Yeah, if he sounds anything like he did on "The Anthem" then forget it. He shouldn't come back and tarnish wot reputation he has left. That's just my take on things you know. It is after all his music, his choices, his soon to be labelled wack status...

Drug mule dies of overdose
Posted Thu, 28 Apr 2005

A 24-year-old Mozambican woman died of a cocaine overdose after a bag containing the drug burst in her stomach on a flight from Brazil, police said on Thursday.

Superintendent Eugene Opperman said Teresa Martins lost consciousness on a flight from Sao Paulo in Brazil on Saturday morning.

On landing at Johannesburg International Airport, she was rushed to the Arwyp Clinic in Kempton Park, where she died on Tuesday.

"X-rays showed that her stomach contained several foreign objects which the South African Police Service commonly refer to as 'bullets' containing cocaine," Opperman said.

The bullets are usually condoms filled with cocaine, which are swallowed by drug smugglers.

An autopsy will be conducted on Thursday.

Hot Traxxx / SOULmatic???
« on: April 29, 2005, 01:32:42 PM »
yeah soulSupreme is dope. i think he did most of the beats on O.C's new album because at the start OC's says, "INEBRIETED BEATS" and I heard its coming out on Grit Records.

SoulMatic:
Its not new. It came out right after 9th Wonda's "Gods Stepson". Its dope but with beats like Premier's "2nd Childhood" and Hangmen3's "stillmatic Intro", the actual album Stillmatic was already a near cla**ic.

I love everything about this album ( The Saturday Nite Agenda). From the artwork down to the Blaxplotation skits. Definitely one of the best album I've heard in years. I say it's Cla**ic. KRS killed that shit! A.G. and Reks were dope too.
