Forums r made up of different iNdividualz, and each user can be placed in a category; as shown below;
the villaina truly malign entity, the villain's aim is to cause as much misery and grief as possible and will rely on two time-tested methods; humiliation and seperation. Once the villain has decided on a victim, they will usually tear away at their preys E-Confidence with an array of entertaining insults and seperate the victim from the ma**es. At this point, other users may even turn on the victim. The Villains motives are often clouded in mystery, but as an individual, they are of usually high intelligence. If one villain forms a partnership with another villain, or a group; be warned.
the conspiracy theoristI think every board has at least one conspiracy theorist, even anti-conspiracy theory forums :blues:
Whilst not particularly offensive characters, they can inadvertantly stir up animosity in other posters, particularly ones with patriotic leanings. Due to their pa**ionate beliefs, theyre usually a victim of the villain. or 'the maddox' (see below). When they aren't forming subversive underground campaigns against the ever-invading reptilian threat, the conspiracy theorist can usually be found curled up with the latest obscure japanese video game, or anime.
the maddoxprofoundly influenced by the infamous angry pirate, 'maddox' (
http://maddox.xmission.com/)'the maddox' follows a fiendishly simple routine: they hate, or complain about everything. If the majority of a forum was to start a poll on how great sex was, the maddox was inevitably find ways to complain. The key to understanding the maddox's elementary psychology is this; while they will dismiss 98% of what they read on the forum, they will never actually disclose what they enjoy. This is usually because they fear being ridiculed themselves, thus becoming a victim of 'the villain'.
the father-figureUsually they give the illusion of age and maturity. The father figure despises the villain, and the villains schemes for domination. In rare cases, the father-figure will come to the aid of a victim, but usually will just attempt to change the mood by proclaiming ''this messageboard has gotten so gay'' (subtley suggesting that 'back in their day, things were so much better). Despite the tendency for rose-tinted reminiscing, the father figure will usually be a helpful and polite member, and silently prays for the villain to change his dastardly ways. In extreme cases, the father figure will leave the board entirely, or cease posting.
