Hot Traxxx / Snazz featured on MXO track

I don´t know if anyone on this forum´s heard of MXO , anyway, he´s just dropped an album called peace of mind and on track 9 he featured Snazz D.its quite refreshingly new, on a hip hop meets afrosoul kinda vibe. Just go to cd wherehouse/look&listen/wherever  and give it a listen ...if you´re curious.

i read an article in the sunday world that skwatta has been sent to represent south african youth  at the united nations  coz they are in a good position to influence the youth through hip hop, they have afterall  won a lot of awards and their sales are a testimony to the fact that they are the most popular hip hop group in the coutry.

i cant´ help but wonder if skwatta camp is the face of  Msazi hip hop?

As i  get more exposure into the music industry ,i realise that its not all that it seems.i don´t think that one can make money... a livin´ , out of it because i just realised that artists  don´t make much  money out of record sales but then how do they live?

if you´ve got insight on this please hola back.

How do recording artists make their money ...if at all?

this is a caveat for all those  with stars in their eyes,keep your day jobs,coz reality bites!!

A lot of cats are being criticised for not including vernacular in their rhymes,the argument is vernac makes the music authentically south african.Rapping in english only, alienates Msanzi ma**ive,look at skwatta...as an example that including vernac works but the counter argument is that we live in a global community and if you want to be heard far and wide , then you should use a widely spoken language.What do AGers think? :-?

i just recently heard that 50cents won´t be staying in the country,he´s flying in an out on his private jet!I reckon he thinks he´s too good for Mzansi but our money is not too good for him.I think it sucks ,to evryone going to the show,try not to have too much fun!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :-|

i have listened to the cocacola colabos cd and hip hop is duly represented and i think that if more cats worked together with other genres for the sake of show casing the variety of styles in SA it could work.Great concept and big up to all involved! :-D
