that's Mizz Mashile's call to all them women them (in ths mnths issue of the y-mag)..... she points out important issues when it comes to South African women 'n hip hop....
don't get me wrong this is not feminist bitch talk but it is true though with everything democratic in this country hip hop is the only artform that has no gender equality platform...a sistas place is to sing hooks, 2bars on a track, groupie, girlfriend, wife or just the hip dropper.
i would agree with alot of heads when they say sistaz should stay away from the mic but at the same time disagree with that notion...for starters pointing out the obvious goddessa, Shame,E.J and Burni are phat period...Sisanda iz building her own castle agree with me when i say shiz dope on the lyrical content that goes for packaged dynamite Nthabi as well.
now the problem is that for guys hip hop is a manz domain which is totally wrong. some women have as much rite to sit on tht throne Jean Grae is a queen in her own rite...its only my opinion agree, disagree you have the legal right to... and tht nigerian woman Isis in the Warrior cd is madd iyziz...
i feel Lebo'z call, women should report to the microphone
wat yo'll say mi sistaz?
