I am a dj who also enjoys mixin both hip hop and house beats, I made my livin by bein a house DJ at 1 point, so I can tell u with sum authority. Every House DJ Iknow, wishes or trys to bo the cuts and juggles on their shit. Some are good but most are too scared to try in front of a crowd cos that shit can scare punters who arent tru house heds. I do a bit of it, its actually easier on house than hip hop, the solid 4-4 kick is easy to find. Some cats like Craig De Sousa an Odwa down here, do it on mix cds for loca parties they play at.

So it dont happen often up in J-sec?l

I´m a radio DJ at a Station in CPT ( I´m new) and i´m a hed. i´ve convinced the management to allow me to do a feature on Local Music, hip hop, whateva, as long as its local. i´ve given sum folks here airplay and exposure by interviewing them. I´m gettin sum positive feedback, but not enuf peeps are gettin hold of me to get me their shit so I can put them out there.

I´m pretty sure that some heds don´t feel the station that I work for becos its a commercial station, but I need Cape Town peeps to know that i´m not tryin to steal Bush FM´s thunda, Shahien knows me and my intentions.I just wanna educate the folks on the street who dont know shit bout mzansi music.

But like any relationship we´d like to make long-term u cant just bang it up in there hard without so much as a "how-do-u-do", therfore, Right now the trax need to be at least somewhat radio friendly.

At the moment I been focussin on Cape Town outfits, but we all fam,  I been talkin to Trusenz´s produca, so I´m for ALL MZANSI, . I work for the local SABC affiliate in the Cape, GoodHope FM. This is not OMS, its mine and bcos i dont hav the content to fill a whole show as of yet, its a half hour feature, I do Saturdays 6pm to 10pm, the rest of the show has dj-mixes cos Saturday night is about havin fun also.
Hope this inspires some feedback or comment, yes I know its Sunday night.
But I´m on-line till 10pm for any questions an shit.

It hurts me so much that so few African, (home or further north) emcees are mentioned. the following list hav been slept on something terrible and lots of them dont rhyme in English.
