Check out my boy Whosane ripping a couple verses at the Pioneer Unit studios alongside Jimmy Flexx and Uno from Ill Skillz.

For those of you that don't know Whosane, he's a Brooklyn-born rapper currently residing in California. His production credits include working alongside Mos Def, Killah Priest, Al Be Back and many others. He regularly opens shows for The Roots and Wu-Tang. My boy is definitely bubbling under and ready to blow.

Just saw David Banner talking on MTV Base.

He said that African rappers should work on representing where they're from rather than "chasing the light". He went on to say that there's more than enough talent in one city to be the centre of that light and force the whole world to pay attention.

He said that one of the mistakes he'd made in his career was being influenced by the people he saw as successful rather than focusing on being himself.

It was an amazingly articulate and thoughtful interview.
