« on: September 11, 2006, 04:16:11 PM »
am interested to know what yall think of the apartheid law & order minister adriaan vlok washing frank chikane's feet as a plea for forgiveness? he's also gone to his church, washed the feet of the mamelodi 10's mothers  & is the only apartheid minister (i know of) to apply & receive amnesty...

do u think his apology is heartfelt & genuine/ empty owing to the fact that he still hasn't admitted culpability to "ordering" 3rd squad activity & police brutality which led to the executions & torture of many?

personally don't know what to think of this- but will upload sum essay i wrote a while back tomorrow...

General Discussion / Mr. T vs Dr. Phil

Mr T takes on Dr Phil (www.news24.com)

New York - If the TV psychologist Dr Phil can dispense advice, why not tough guy Mr T?

The TV Land network announced on Tuesday it will start I Pity the Fool, a series where The A-Team star travels across the country dispensing inspiration and advice.

"The 'T' stands for talking," Mr. T said in an interview with The a**ociated Press. "I'm going to talk it up. It's what I've been doing all my life."

The series starts in October. He will offer help to people struggling with personal or professional problems.

"My show ain't no `Dr. Phil,' with people sitting around crying," he said. "You're a fool - that's what's wrong with you. You're a fool if you don't take my advice."

General Discussion / who to side with...?
« on: March 02, 2006, 02:30:29 PM »
so there i am on long street- & i get accosted by sum honey i've seen once/ twice in cla** who tells me to help her as there's sum nigga following her around & hara**ing her... i see this cat & notice his small frame & decide to confront him & ask him wa**up & to tell him to leave the bird in my very capable hands!

turns out this honey asked this dude to buy her a drink @ sum club & he agreed on condition that they spend the rest of the evening in each others' company.. i ask her if this is true & she concurs & states that he got her the drink & loot to go get a boerewors roll..

story gets better as dude says she dodged him an hour earlier & he's only just spotted her again & the reason he's following her around is as he wants his twenty bucks back & he's really vexed about the way she conducted herself...

not being able to choose who to side with- i just walked away & wanna know what the right thing to do was?

Rifle found near JZ court

S'THEMBISO MSOMI and JIMMY SEEPE

A FULLY loaded a**ault rifle was found in an abandoned vehicle with false number plates a few blocks away from the Johannesburg High Court on the first day of former deputy president Jacob Zuma's rape trial on Monday.

Police found an abandoned white VW Polo at about 6.30am as they combed the city streets as part of their security preparations for the high-profile case due to start about three hours later.

Inside the vehicle, police discovered a loaded, army-issue R - 4 a**ault rifle.

The discovery led to fears of an a**a**ination attempt with some saying Zuma or his 31-year-old accuser could have been targeted.

But Gauteng police spokesperson, Superintendent Mary Martins-Engelbrecht, said yesterday there was no evidence to suggest a link between the abandoned vehicle and the trial.

The discovery of the R-4 has added to the heightened security fears around the trial.

Last week, City Press reported that the security around the alleged rape victim had been tightened with more security personnel being a**igned to her and members of her family.

It has since emerged that her security has been a major headache for officials with a few members of the highly trained Presidential Protection Unit (PPU) allegedly refusing to guard her.

Their reasons apparently ranged from "not wanting to take sides" in what they believe is an ANC power struggle to a "fear" of being suspected if anything should happen to her.

how can zuma, a man we all know fought so gallantly for liberation, be inciting people by singing inflammatory songs & pissing on the freedom he sacrificed so much & others lost their lives for?

Politics / now what for JZ?
« on: December 06, 2005, 12:19:28 PM »
dude's just been charged wit rape add further court time to what he's already facing cos of the corruption shit... now i know that they for real when they say it doesn't rain, it pours!

find the timing of all this very convenient for Mbeki & those in his camp though, but ain't alluding to a conspiracy or anything  it would be seriously f***ed if the differnce between party & state has become so blurred that state apparatus (judiciary, NPA, NIA) are being used to fight internal ANC battles...

Hip Hop Events / DJ Scratch in Cape Town
« on: December 01, 2005, 11:16:08 AM »
after bribing the guard & hustling to get in as it was sold out... on comes DJ Scratch for a measly 45 mins!

Not even doing most of the beatboxing himself- using DAT in the background... didn't have any Capetonian opening hip hop acts, no special guests as promised & all in all a rather lousy show that was a waste of my loot!

actually, f*** him for wasting my time- what did others think?
