lesotho with a population of less than 2 million & a semi- professional league has pulled off sum great upsets in its time... eg. beating cameroon with the great roger milla in the team!

i am loathe to ask, but what has zim achieved?

How about defeating Lesotho on the last 5 fixtures straight (if memory serves me correct)

P.S. I am counting my victory over KONFAB in Fifa 2006 as a National Victory since we played that isht for Honour & Country!

Anyway this is about the World Cup & I predict at least one African Cinderella story a la South Korea 4 years ago (did those cats even qualify for this Cup?)...

I wonder if we will EVER see an African World Cup winner. DEFINATELY not in 2010 though that would technically be the ideal one to win..

Les Elephants are looking good yall

Quote
"Côte d'Ivoire completed their preparation with a 3-0 victory over Slovenia in France with Didier Drogba scoring twice before Kanga Akale added a third. It was a timely return to form for The Elephants who had drawn their previous two friendlies against Switzerland and Chile and are in arguably the toughest group of all alongside Argentina, Netherlands and Serbia and Montenegro"

Where those betting men/women?...I'm finna take someone's money...

Yeah lest we get trapped in the usual trap of blindly supporting lack-lustre African hopes...ahhh but I will do anything for the joy I felt with the now infamous Senegal victory in France...

Alas I am stuck with ESPN Commentry mispronouncing names (actually not even making an effort) & using Amercian terms to describe everything on some:
"The World Champs Brazil won after a 2 nil blow out" :x

hip hop is my refuge. I could crawl into the space between the lines and curl my back to reality-
the beat washes away from my soul the dust of everyday life-
Music expresses that which cannot be said and on which it is impossible to be silent!
