My mans Admiral & AppleSeed been representing Dancehall in SA since 1994,,, Voice of Soweto(?), original Yfm and legendary thursday nights on Rocky Street. Now at Horror Cafe.

silva is too nice.close to sizzla, the first time i heard him i thot was from jamrock but cat is from gugus..da reggae scene ina cape town is ma**ive.da ghetto youth be doing thier ting. lot of reggae groups on point.. iam skanking to dis azania joint right now..fyah

yupp, Jozi Pozy, I was bumpin my riddim cd:s I brought, no one had heard it bf atleast not thoose songs, so they stole em hahah, tahts the beauty of it,.. lmao.. so now some dudes sittin in Pimville smokin sliffs and listen to my Beenie cd.. haha

^^ ok. but the genre is and has been quite big for a long time. also kwaito music was heavily influenced by dancehall in the beginning (now its almost just house :x ) like Boom-Shaka's first joints were almost pure dancehall. Abashante too, that was back in 94-96. Also Tandoor's club has always been popular for with DJ's like Admiral holding it down there. I remember when I went to high school in Jhb almost half of my cla** was always drowsy and blunted on fridays. You didnt have to guess where they had been the previous night. ha ha
