List your 10 most underrated or overlooked albums that don´t get as much props as they should get. Here´s mine :

1. The Autobiography of Kirk Jones - Sticky Fingaz

It still bugs me why this album didn´t sell. This is the perfect storytelling hip-hop album ever made. It´s even better than "A Prince among Thieves".

2. Southernplayalisticcadillacmuzik - Outkast

Atliens and Auqemini always get props as Outkasts best, but to me this album is their best ever. I can play it from start to finish without skipping any tracks.

Hootie Hoooo !

3. Disposable Arts - Masta Ace

This is a true school cla**ic. Masta Ace sounds like eminem at times.

4. Lethal Injection - Ice Cube

I know this aint no Death Certificate, but Ice Cube still held it down with this. This had more of a west-coast feel to it, but the rhymes where as amazing as ever.

5. Hold it down - Das EFX

What can i say about this album. Straight up real hip-hop. The remix to Microphone Master w/ Mobb Deep is like WHOAAA !

6. Stunts, Blunts and Hip-hop - Diamond D

All aspiring producers need to listen to this album. This is the ultimate " learn how to make beats" manual. Madlib was hugely influenced by this album.

7. O.G.C. - The Storm

This album never got it´s full recognition, simply because it dropped after three Boot Camp Cla**ic, Enter da Stage, Da Shinin & Nocturnal. The beats are still Beatminerz cla**ic shit and "Starang Wonda, no relation to Stevie" is dope as f***.

8. Equinox - Organized Konfusion

Their first two are considered their best, but thet still held it down on this one. Great concept, amazing lyrics and flow, and some of the best producers on board. Just listen to "Numbers"

9. Wrath of the Math - Jeru da damaja

Sun rises in the east along with Only built for Cuban , The Infamous and Ready to Die definitely ressurected the east-coast sound after Dre and Snoop put all the attention on the West. This album was a great follow up to his debut, and Primo´s production on this doesn´t get enough props.

10. Hard to Earn - Gangstarr

This album should get more props that Moment of Truth. Straight Dopeness.

What are your´s ?

1. Cormega – The Realness
This album by Nas’ friend-turned foe is one those cds I’m going to talk about to my grandsons.

3. Sunz Of Men – And The Last Shall Be First
I rate this a close second to Forever - one of the best records if not the best to   come out of the Wu family.

4. Capadonna – The Pillage, Ghostface Killah – Supreme Clientele
   cla**ics finish and klaar

5. REKS – And Then Came The Chosen
as he says in chorus of his 1st song “You ain’t never heard of me but after this I guarantee you gon’ be commited to the REKS for live”

6. Onyx – All We Got Iz Us
for me the baldheads showed they cla**

Good lookin on those two. That KRS-ONE is my favourite album of the year.

50 Cent - Power of the Dollar

This is the one he released on Columbia before he got shot.It was never released. His lyrics were actually pretty good and the trackmasters had some good production. I´m tempted to call this a Cla**ic gangsta rap album.

The Diary - Scarface

This album is truly a masterpiece. Scarface is my favourite southern solo rapper. A legend indeed.

overrated [let´s try and shy from the puff´s and 50 cents let´s keep undagraound {whateva thatmeans} - i mean those that got props but neva deserved them  ]:

Arsonist – As The World Burns – when I heard that this is the hottest of the year 2000 – I raced to the store and got it only to enjoy it for a few weeks
Rubberoom – Architechnology – I got this shit about 2yrs ago, and really I never played this past Acid
Afu-Ra – Body of the Life Force – don’t get me wrong but with that flow I really don’t know what’s the wooha all bout.

I have to disagree with u there Khoi. That shit is bangin. Do you know the track where they battle each other in the lunchroom? And the track where Q-Unique takes it back to the 70 and 80´s? Straight HEAT!

Other West-Coast releases that are hugely underrated.

Too Short - Cocktails
Spice 1 - AmeriKKKa´s Nightmare - That track with Methical is blazin.
Dogg Pound  - Dogg Food
Murder was the Case soundtrack
Kurupt - The Streetz is a mutha
The Coup - Steal This Album

ummm... someone said MF Doom´s Doomsday album - i don´t think that was an underrated album, nor Atmosphere´s Lucy Ford.
They were both talked about, in the right circles however.
