...so i get an e-flyer inviting me to this new joint called *mind your head* a cocktail bar/ lounge which claims to be "a place where independent-thinking artists and patrons exist freely, interact and connect beyond pop-driven trends and identities."

it was launched last friday at 2 delvers street in johannesburg...

after giving the opening night a try, all i can say is: "transcend pop culture" people! i really recommend this spot. for chilling, for dancing, for getting into the weekend groove...

plus, the music is off the chain and there are no fronters up in there. it's a really hot joint.

Got teh e-flyer too. the teaser about a month back was nicely designed, everything about the way they planned teh launch made me wish i was in jhb.

Yo big up to them cats they really have it going, I mean at first it was the dope fliers that had me going wild for a minute, then the launch, anyone that has not heard the BLKJKS should check them out. the mix of people at this place is also dope, who would have thought Jozi would get such prevalages. These cats dont mess around. Positive youth giving positive input to the movement...DOPE BIG UP, people must go support this joint. If you not into the arts the music will make you move.

I'll be there fiday or saturday night...you won't miss me i'll be the bar fly ...I will have a frown on my face and chances are I will at one point in during the night I will hit on you...its a ritual that I have I chat-up or mooch beer money from EVERYSINGLE..EVERYONE ugly ones I ask them to buy me a drink.

Ol' Grazh will definitely be living round the corner from there, they kicked us out at 04H00 AM last friday, the launch night.. well not exactly kicked us out, we left.. if they didn't have to clean up for the next night, we'd've stayed on till the morning..

this is the flyer for the opening nite last week. drerss code is whatever and the alcs is suprisingly reasonable...so no need to mooch off no beastly lookin brawds brick...but then again I didnt see any. so MYH is a winner on all counts.wow.

just heard word that ben sharpa is going to be performing there this saturday; might be a good time to go check this spot out; plus it's pay week,though i saw on that my-what-you-ma-call-it-space-thing that it's free entry....

well worth a shot, if anything gotta hear what the 'sharpest knife' is all about....heard that police protection kut on his myspace page (seems everyone got one of these).... track isnt to bad at all....good content...it's been a minute cats started talking about some socially relevant topics....i like
