Dj Premier 6th sense remake

Common's - 6th sense is my favourite Primo beat.

Finally a bird (Maddstone) told me who the original sample was, so I ventured to remake the track just to see how primo constructed it.

Think it came out pretty close;) .... lacking some ba** hits.

Made this on my Roland Sp 606

-the original sample is played first. Then i cut up the relevat sections and i play them once in the file i posted.
- I sampled the kick and the snare ONLY from the original track.

Great way to learn...reconstructing beats teaches u alot about the producers thought-process.

yip...thats just about it! dope! the kick has a bad sound with it tho. but general idea comes thru. i did this with the 'a million questions' jigga joint will also post soon.

k..its fixed now.

Yeah. bad sound on the kick...i sampled the kick n snare str8 from the original so i got some other sounds with it. My focus was on the reproduction of the idea.

2 nice Ed. a great effort i doubt the uninitiated ear would pick it up easily. as for Mugabe hook up that Jigga I'd love to hear how u flipped it.
