Our very own KONFAB got played on BBC Radio 1 in the UK last night.

Mary Anne Hobbs also announced on the show that she'll be playing an exclusive feature mix of Pioneer Unit tracks in a couple of weeks.

i been trying to tell anyone who'll listen that KONFAB is world cla** - this radio 1 thing is just proves it.

the nicest thing is that the track they played was written, produced and performed by KONFAB.

now the question is this...do they censor his shit when he says Konfab sfebe? it brings a debate issue I have been thinkign abut for a while..if you curse in Sotho as Mr Kon does and play your shit to a English audince who don't understand Sotho is it nessesary to bleep that shit? honest Question

that's actually an interesting question, and one that i have thought about myself. I guess if the station was strict then swearing in any language would have to be taken out or they could offend any Sotho speaking listeners who might be tuning in.

in this case it doesn't matter because the radio 1 show has a disclaimer at the start telling people that it contains explicit content.

BBC played the title track 'Swart Gevaar',,, (although they called it 'Swart Gha-Vah').

The album is in the final stages of production. I'm looking around for a distributor because we don't want this to be some mickey mouse 'release' where no one outside cape town can get hold of it. 2007 is the year of doing things properly - playtime is over!
