In my battle days i cud take out an upstart only with experience i.e, on a bad day, sum kids(s) wud kum thru and even if i wasnt in the correct headspace, i wud be able to apply the basics of my knowledge and that wud c me thru...

Young Jeezy is the truth, Nas killed Hip Hop long time ago. He killed Queens Bridge Hip Hop. Nas is a self distructive nigger, he back stabbed his people; Cormega, Mob deep and Nature. He has'nt been consistant in terms of his rap persona, his one minute a prophet and the next his mafiaso esco bar spitting glitz and telling thug stories. His done alot for Hip Hop no doubt but not every one should kick it like he does, I think his just mad that New York aint on top no more, his mad that Hip Hop is dead in New York. I love Nas but on this one f*** Nas.

Young Jeezy is like fresh air, his a touch of Scarface and his the ultimate thug inspiration like Tu pac. Not to mention the hustle in him is equivelant to the likes of Master P and Jay Z. He is a vivid potrayal of how real the streets are and how alive and kicking Hip Hop is. Hip Hop will forever be interchanging. Nas and them are just threatened that young gunners like Young Jeezy and TI are running the industry right now and New York has nothing to do with it. Nas done burried himself long time ago. New York done burried its self with all that gun talk merking shit and monotonous cocaine stories that every body is sick of. I bet you many can vouch for me on this one.

I can guarantee the both of u that ur carbon copy careers are not goin to go anywhere. The two of u need to find 8 to 5's before it's too late. However, if ya'll are just stupid bastards wit no qualifications or skills that can be of value in corporate South Africa, do not despair. I think u should open an NGO for gays in the hip hop fraternity, u can use this very forum to  recruit members, and the industry is filled wit ur kind.

U KNOW, ITS CRAZY, but i dont undastand y names like qwel, vast aire, aesop and the like are never mentioned in these threads..

U talkin abt 'dead' hip-hop, an i am tempted to agree with that kauz its certainly changed from what it used to be...

but somewhere in the crevices some people are still creating beautiful music... have u ever really listened to th creativity in aesops lyrics?? its a f***ing goldmine!!! Vast aire deals with social issues in a way that is just crazy creative... the thing is that the said cats and others similar to them dont have as much commercial appeal as the names being bandied about here, but i know that whats dope and what isnt is not decided by record sales...
