Music Mayday South AfricaMusic Mayday presents the B-Connected Festival. The festival which is held on the third Sunday of May annually is a global platform connecting and uniting youth in South Africa , Hungary , Tanzania , Ethiopia and the Netherlands . It features young artists from the 5 member countries showcasing their talent on a global stage.
This year’s programme continues to offer young people the space to develop and exchange skills, focusing on music, dance, poetry and the spoken word. In SA there will be two stages, with the main stage featuring live performances and the second stage will initially be hosting poetry and open mic sessions and later House and Kwaito music. An internet chat lounge will be established to enable young people to chat live with their counterparts in the other countries. The festival will also include an array of urban games such as Sony play station games. Live satellite crossings and video streaming will provide inter-country visuals on the day
This years’ B-Connected festival will showcase all the Hip Hop Sessions in and around Soweto featuring the best MC’s and Poets in Jozi, Slaghuis, Splash Germ, D-Shack and 1808.
