I can only guesstimate how many cats have the Akai MPC series
proally 5 - 15, I dunno...
1 of the most asked Q always has to do
with the 'How do I get those Phat Drums Sounds Dun?!?!?'
I undastand software Has paralled or nearly superceded the hardware
equivalents in various segments.
So the new age trend (if you do have hardware that u still use)
is to program some drum-work, ba**lines, whatever
in an MPC then incorporate the soundpieces into your DAW
environment while still maintaining
& dedicated drum thump that all of appreciate so dearly in
this rap ish.
The other approach is to just do a whole project on it
cause of it's tactile, on the job approach.
Most of my favorite producers bang, I mean BANG!!!
cla**ic Jointz from this ish.
Jazzy Jeff, Marco Polo, Pete, Dre, Blaze, Premo, Large P
etc.
the trigger finga nice but misses Akai specific
16 Level - Auto-chromatic a**ign where you can take one note
and spread it across your 64 Pads with change in Tune
Note Repeat which is a cheat for doing repetitive stuff
like programmin Hats according to a Time Measure.
other than that the MPD16/24/MAudio Trigga Finga are solid
add-ons for percussive work on a DAW.
