Natives from the Sun is a Hip Hop duo consisting of Ngwenya (Siphiwe
Ngwenya) and Firstborn (Ntsikelelo Ntshingila). They are visionaries of a distinct lyrical caliber that uplifts the spirit with their instrumental sound and style. Their Zulu, SiSwati and English evolutionary Hip-Hop music style paints a picture of ancient livelihood where anything is possible universally. From Emandulo (Long ago) to writings of Graffiti they have come up with a very rare timeless, revolutionary music album.
In this hot cla**ic collaboration, as in the acclaimed cla**ic song ‘Quest’ in the Expressions (words unlimited) compilation album released under Outrageous Recordz in 2003, they feature the amazing, soulful songstress sister Nosisi of Kwani Experience. She has worked with Natives as a consistent extension of the group since their conception as a collective in the year 2002 & 2003. She laces the songs with her velvet genius voice, linking verses to beats and the beats to the streets for all the nations to sing. Her African rooted style in this album blends superbly with the album setting and direction.
Expect to hear raw, unique, fresh sounds and lyrics very far apart from your typical Hip-Hop or vernacular rhymes. Their beats are ear expensive sounds with an unforgettable haunting touch to them. . It took the group a complete 4 years to create and complete their first debut album. These artists believe in time and patience and they got to create amazing quality instead of quantity.
