That cat terrence just said it on 106 and park(yeah i know i lost for watchin) that the industry goes thru changes and right now it aint about freestlying its about hit records like Flo-Rida new song whatever its called and that the new thing on friday is performing your original song instead of battling.Hiphop took anotha L.Thats a clear sign of why NYC artist cant get any spins.

Viacom (Mtv, vh1, BET) has not exactly been on the cutting edge of HIP HOP (not to be confused with "rap") culture since the early ninties...hell basic Mtv doesn't even play music anymore.

  True. BET was cool way before it was owned by Viacom. 106 & Park is just an
  "urban" version of MTV's Total Request Live. Outside of Hip Hop, another network
   thats pissed me off is Fuse (formerly MuchMusic America). As a network know as
   a Mecca for Metal videos, they conformed to an MTV style of programming by taking
   off the Metal programs in favor for Emo and Pop videos. I miss the two hottest hosts
   that were on that network, Mistress Juliya (Metal) and Marianella (Hip-Hop).
