people were registered at rallies in the rural areas.in some places entire schools got registered.my gran came from wedza last week.they were told if zanu lost they would not receive maize,seeds,etc.chiefs are called sabhukus because they are in charge of rural wards and have books of all the residents.that is how most people register as voters of the ruling party.rural folk are also feeling the pinch.if you notice the trend in this year's elections is different from 2002 in that mdc has made inroads into the rustics.people's vote for the mdc was more of an emotional protest vote.otherwise makoni was the best candidate but he did not have the confidence of the ma**es in that they were not sure were his allegiances lay.besides tsvangirai has now developed a history of struggle against the current oppression, repression and depression.since his position in mdc expires 2010, simba's most likely to be the next president in 2013 (if he's still alive).we need simba's leadership qualities at this moment.i think as people, we should rise above party politics and choose the most suitable candidates.i don't understand why we reduce ourselves by labels.i'm zanu i'm mdc i'm hiphop i'm african,etc as if inclining to one train of thought makes us better human beings!if morgan is smart, should he win he should make simba prime minister.that in itself is complex.simba might be regarded by those who supported him as a coward,morgan a sell out.i think zimbabwe needs to go above picking sides.that's the problem we have right now, all because bob and morgan can't say SORRY.give me a divine cane so i can whoop their butts.the ordinary person cares not who rules.he/she just want to be able to fend for their own, have food on their tables, clothes on their backs, be free to express their opinions without fear of intimidation...feel they are in their country.politicians screw up the lives of those that put them into power.no constitution should be allowed to give a president total power, it's a crime against humanity.governments are here to represent our ideas and feelings not to impose theirs on us!in other words we, the ma**es, should have greater power and say.unfortunately this is just an ideology.rural folk suffer dog, they bleed, eat, feel like you and me.they are the poorest of the poor anyone who takes advantage of this and molests their rights is a monster!
