I've seen this with a lot of other forums sites where all producers and emcees join up to release a mixtape, not 100% sure who takes charge of things behind the scene but it mostly comes out a great success.

Who is in with me, we get our very own mixtape for this site??

The logistics of pulling together such a project are a bit difficult. Their a lot of diverse personalities with diverse styles. It would be a bit hard to conduct.

I'd have to rule myself out of it tho.

Naaaaah Nyambz...don't chicken out...remember what we spoke about when I was @ yo place? Anyway, my suggestion is....to create a thread where all interested will throw in their work (best)...and a pool conducted to source out tracks that will make it.

But first, a panel of Producers, Dj's and Mcees that will handle the track selection process will also have to be selected for neutrality.

I think if that is out of the way, then the guys selected will have all their work cut out....

Thanx Trompie. Its not going to be a easy task but its very possible.

We can have the folder where everyone can post something, but give a limited amount of time then we run a selection where the public vote(NOTE!! members only, so that Kats don't get their girl friends voting for them). then after we run another selection of emcees and DJ's or maybe run all during the same time and have different moderators in charge of each.

all the musician members submit tracks, the mods chose 20(?) and arrange them. i dont know if cutting cd's will be viable...

AG is copyright and publishing isn't..?meaning anything from here is by law AG's...any MOD that can clearify?

I was actually thinking something like this as well...
Its gonna take alot of time to pull this together, and i dont agree with the whole voting structure....
Heres my idea:
Producers post up there beats ---> all interested emcees listen and decide which beat they like and record vocals for it ---> vocals get posted up and the producers get to perfect the track ---> then we need somebody that will master the full mixtape.

When it comes to copyright and publishing, im sure there must be some indie publishers here that would jump at the oppurtunity... I myself want to start one but I dont wanna go at it alone.

So hows about we get the ball rolling boyz...  8)

Sure enuf but my understanding with such projects are that theres always alot of interest in the beginning but only a few people will actually make it to the end.....
I say we get as many peeps involved and whoever gets to the finish line surely deserves to be on the mixtape (unless the finished product is real wack  :D)

Im back...lets see what we have here....no thread from Mods concerning beats...then somebody....please start uploading beats and accapellas in here.

1. Tag your beat, (include necessary info like name of track - dont put "beat1"/"accapella1" as a name pls, your name, samples used in case of copyrights and / or further info that may be required)
2. include bpms' info,
3. write a small bio of yourself,
4. zip, rar...your info and then upload on http://www.LINK REMOVED/

this will help in ppl judging and finalising.

I think a thread will be created last for the results. I again advice Mods to be active....hopefully I think we can get outside AG media guys to be involved. Anyone can give them a listen after download and they can then e-mail Mods that are active on this project...

My thought for being fair!
